Faster performance? Better multiplayer? Less Blur O Vision? High screen res? More people care than you think.. Would you still say this about PC's if you could just wack in the DVD and play? Personally I like installing the games to Hard Drive then not having to wack in a DVD anymore... Installing RGSC, Windows Live and the game? I don't get why people complain, it's only what 20 mins? Once it is done it's done. The only bad thing is the securom protection that lowers performance due to its constant checks.. Anyway, why are you in here in you want to play it on the console? If you haven't noticed it says "PC Version". People don't want to settle with lowering the graphics to Xbox 360 level, performance would be better than the Xbox360 then but even so still not what would be expected on a decent PC. Allot of people have bugs, all PC releases have bugs, so do Xbox games. You think PC is abit of a waste of money/effort these days? Well thats a load of cack too... The only thing that causes problems on the PC platform is half assed ports from the likes of EA. FFS the game was created on a PC, should have being created FOR PC ported to Consoles then performance would be fine on both systems. I turned Jews into cops earlier! They were driving around in cop cars and even shooting at me trying to arrest me, granted the game crashed when I had them in the cars, but still. The problem about the PC version is the high specs you need to run the game smoothly. The problem about the PC version is the high specs you need to run the game smoothly. But, IN MY OPINION, if you run all games, on all plataforms, on the same resolution at the same screen, they'll look the same thing. They do.... If they are all using AA and also same exact graphical settings. Thats not the point, the point is, PC's are far more capable of better graphics and smoother frame rates than a PS3/Xbox360. An 8800GT can be got for around 50 quid second hand these days, not much more new, and it is far FAR more powerful than the GPU of the Xbox360 and PS3. Although I would like to add that the "p" blur on the PC looks 100x better at 1600x1200... when I had the blur enabled at 1280x1024 it was noticeably ugly.. but with the higher res it looks pretty DAMN good. Console versions don't have anti-aliasing or else we would have it to, game is a direct port with a few new things thrown on top (and alot of bugs). I notice you mention the "p" thingy, that actually is the console's "blur", but it looks much worse on lower resolutions because it was meant for something about tv-sized. I'm not a fan of AA myself, seeing as how after 2X-AA it's just a coffee filter over your camera. If you want real Anti-aliasing, you can turn it on for any application if you have an NVidia card by going to the NVidia control panel, you can enable AA on specific applications and the card will throw it on regardless if its on the application or not, it's pretty sweet. To enable AA for a program you want, Goto NVidia Control Panel->Program Settings Tab->Click "Add" Button->Add GTAIV's EXE->Modify settings in the Control Panel->Apply and play. And how does that make it better? I bought the PS3 version as along with crappy FPS, awful blur, not as good multiplayer, not as good graphics, I'm still trying to find why it is better. Spending 20mins to install a game on the PC Vs a couple mins to boot it on a PS3 does not make it better since when it is installed thats it, the PC version loads much faster than the PS3 version... You console people cant win here I'm afraid, two reasons: This is the the section for the PC VERSION The PC version is unquestionably the best version. That's why I AM a PC gamer. Because I like to build my own PC, and if it can work well with my favorite games I will be satisfied. That's just a different taste between PC gamers and console gamers. Aside the graphics, performance, controls, free online (yes, I'm refereeing only to the gold membership on xbox) and sh*t. MODS ARE GREAT and it has just begun. Also, note the irony of the situation. There is a significant number of people who can not run GTA IV on their PC's no matter what (for various reasons; their own incompetence, hardware or os problems, crappy port)) but there is also a large portion of guys who are forced to play on low to medium settings at constant framerates larger then your console provides . Imagine that, better graphics at higher framerates and people are still not satisfied. I guess you console crowd really had to bite the bullet and accept the bare minimum quality as a standard. I told you I agree that PC games are better didn't I? I just don't ythink it's worth the: 1) Effort (keeping up with the latest add-ons, installing, checking I have the right specs etc). 2) Cost: I can't f*cking afford that much when I can play a slightly lower quality version and spend the money I save on a gaming PC on alcohol, women and cigarettes. My PS3 cost $400 (Canadian) for that I get great games, internet browser and Blu Ray dvd. Now justify spending $3000 on a gaming PC that has 'slightly' better looking games! I certainly can't! If I was rich, sure (although I still wouldn't use a keyboard, yuck) but even then I could still think of better ways to spend that extra money. Again, not arguing, PC games are better, I agree. I bet you can guess which version I think is the best... ... The PS3 version. Seriously, there was no hassle involved in getting this to run, it runs well and it's the best looking version (until/if AA ever gets implimented). Played the 360 and PS3 versions both a lot and the PS3 looks and runs better than the 360. Take into account the PC's 'norestrictions' hassle, lack of image filtering and insidious R* social and MS live components and it wins hands down.
