My recent brush with fame, not so cool. I had Mr. Tom Keifer of Cinderella fame complain about the video I uploaded to YT of him opening for Skynyrd live. Of all my Live Skynyrd videos, that's the first, and has me worried about the others, I took down two other rights Matching content videos, so I wouldn't wind up in hot water. Since YT pulled the other TK video, I had to agree to a pink page highlighting the violation....

 

 

Any others get that? It's before you get to your channel that that pops up on screen. I assumed I would be deleting the file, but for Mr. Keifer, they pulled it right away.

 

BUMMER.

 

I thought that if you sang along Karoake style to something in the background, you could do that, but nope. They'll replace it with public domain classical or nothing at all.

I, too, wish they were more transparent about their rules. However, as I've found from working in both television and advertising, the simple rule of thumb is to never use anything copyrighted.
