iristrauma
I have been modding some of the game's files such as car weight and weapons, but what I really want to edit is Nico's Jump ability. I would simply like to mod the file that controls how high he can jump. Locating and editing this file, I would mod his ability to Super Jump onto the tops of buildings and ledges, mayby a 750ft jump. Of course this is no good unless you can also control the angle of jump and relative speed to movement, but also needing the control on the way back down under gravity, so somewhat controlling where you land..Im not sure if that part is possible, but it must be pretty easy to adjust the jump height..? Does anybody have an idea as to what file's and where they are located need to be edited in this regard..? I wouls appreciate your input... iristrauma
Main.scm. There is no file with that name.. When you say "main" do you mean something else..? There are no *.scm files at all that I can see.. I just found Main.sc not scm.. Ill will try that.. Ok, just went through that file Main.sc and it seems to have nothing to do with jump height or any actions. Its all about cars and stuff.. iristrauma
Shameless bump*.. Can anybody help out here with this elusive file that directly controls how high you can jump..Its probably linked to the animation some how, but I am at a loss.. Im frustrated, been through most readable files with no references to "JUMP".. very strange..
mkey82
The main.scm file was found in previous versions as the script file which contained the mission coding. This time around they probably store that file inside on of those .img archives. AFAIK there wasn't any opcode previously whit which you could control the jump height, so I don't think it has anything to do with the script. Even though, it would maybe be possible to code this functionality. But this is far from sight for now, until someone makes some sort of mission script compiler/decompiler. KickyMcAssington
I suspect Niko's jump may be controlled by euphoria. I don't really know much about it but someone spotted a couple helpful files. Under \Grand Theft Auto IV\pc\data\naturalmotion Fred.html and Wilma.html, cute rockstar They seem to be the same pretty much but there's a lot of stuff in there about euphoria and some settings, a search for "jump" found some stuff about how Niko falls and lands, and his leg strength on impact, roll on impact stuff like that. Anyway I don't know what you can do with it yet, but its something to look at.
