"You have been removed from the game"

I have this problem too. But I'm more worried about SP.

Why? Game's performance will be fixed eventually with the upcoming patch/patches, but there was nothing mentioned about fixing MP issues like the very one we are having, and there was no support given either (which clearly is something NOT good at all sarcasm.gif )

the game removes u from MP session when your pc performing slow and makes hard to keep you in synch with other players (i have message with almost same text that explained that i was removed because my game runs to slow), that it, lower your setting to fix this, or wait for patch and new optimised drivers, also get yoself the newest hardware, this also will help)

u have nothing else to do.

My computer:

Windows XP Pro x64 SP2

XFX 8800GT 512MB XXX Alpha Dog Edition

E6750 @ 3.00GHz

2GB RAM @ 415MHz (4.0-4-4-12)

I don't think it's because of that... my computer is pretty good, as you can see. And the message I get only says: "You have been removed from the game" and nothing else, no "because your computer is too slow" or anything.

FIrst of all... install SP3... its the minimum req. you cant get any help if you dont meet the min req.

Do that try again then come back here

Same problem here. My specs are mighty, so it can't be because of slow fps.

I get kicked from most servers instantly with that accusing "You have been removed from the game" message.

Also, I'm trying to do multiplayer with a friend of mine but we can't join each others servers ("Unable to connect") even though Live says he's Joinable and all that. Seems like the whole multiplayer is still a buggy mess... >.<

Any you guys checked how much ram is been used? as 15 - 30mins in a game my ram is allready up to 2.25gbs, and most of you seem to only have 2 except for 1... I normally restart the game.. starts of at only using 1.83gb, windows is using 782mbs.. mind u is vista so have to chop some off for xp... I get that laggy slow down before a disconnect if I play too long, and don't really want to force my ram to free...

Update for me as well, the patch didn't fix this issue for me either.

And I bet that my computer would run GTAIV better with more RAM, but I've heard several people playing the game fine at 2gig RAM...

We need to find out what makes our computers so different. People with a 8600 GT graphics card and a single core can play better than some people with quad cores...

I got the same issue, but im betting its my wireless router. Because it aint many of us with this problem, and my cousin has just the same computer as i got, with same Os, but a different more expensive router and he plays the game like hell smile.gif So, its all about the router i think.

That may be. It would be odd though, because I've had no problem with any other game, but it's very possible that the problem is the router. I've posted this issue on the Steam forums. Look at one of the posts there:

Very similar routers, as you can see.

Well, I have the same problem you guys are reporting.

Every time I try to enter on a multiplayer match, I just get kinda kicked from there. sad.gif

My PC meets the minimal and even the recommended requirements (I just don't meet the recommended because they ask for a Core 2 Quad and I have a Core 2 Duo E8400, which clearly is one of the best processors out there, but ok). My game runs just fine in single player.

I hope R* can fix this.

hello. i had this same issue when i patched the game.

i fixed it by removing UPnP from my router.

log into your router and look around for a checkbox with UPnP and uncheck it.

try it and see if it works.

I registered to say I have the same problem because I've searched the net and can't find a fix anywhere, so this is my last hope tounge.gif

Gamespot or somewhere said to open certain ports but I have all the necessary games for Windows ports open. And the router is a good Netgear model.

I just get the one message right after entering a servers lobby. "You have been removed from the game." Yeah thanks Rockstar thats exactly what I needed to know about the error. After trying about 4 or 5 servers I can usually come across one that will let me play. Oh, and when I enter the lobby, I'm always the only player listed but it just appears for a split second.

Another suggestion was that It won't let u join a server if your specs arent high enough but my specs are fine because the single player runs smooth with everything maxed out.

Really need a fix for this ! whatsthat.gif

Also Trull, did you actually try a server with your settings lower? I'm going to try that tomorrow, but currently I'm using only around 850MB of Memory out of the 1024MB GTA says is the maximum.*EDIT* NVM I tried, it doesn't work.

Any help appreciated. turn.gif

Oh and my specs are:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)

Memory: 4094MB Corsair Dominator RAM

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 1024MB

Sound Card: Creative SB X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro

Operating System: Windows Vista™ Ultimate x64 Service Pack 1

Motherboard: Asus P5K-C

GTA Version: Retail Box.

EDIT: FIXED

Start GTA, press home to open GFWL, enter settings and take note of the 4 numbers beside the i.p etc, open that port and the game works fine online, GFWL support sucks.

SOLVED.

If you mean port 3074... I already forwarded it on my router and still doesn't work. It just says my NAT Type is Strict.

Rockstar really needs to release a patch on this online issue ASAP!

I hate being not to be able to play online... suicidal.gif

Plus, we are not getting any support from Rockstar AT ALL, and that really pisses me off.

I mean, I just don't get it. All other games work fine on multiplayer, and I didn't have to change a thing. What the hell, man?

here this might help. i get multiple connection issues on my linksys wrt54g. try going to network information, and see what upnp and NAT are at. if they are strict and disabled then that's a problem. for me, i just added all of the ports, added QoS, and then every other day or so i have to disable upnp on my router, then reenable and all works fine. but there is still connection issues when other people join a match you are already in, i don't think there is a fix for that

I don't think its anything related to port forwarding, that would clearly block your connection. I have been looking into this for a few days now because I have it and a few seconds after the multiplayer starts the CPU usage sky rockets to 100% and stays there.

I have not been able to load up any multiplayer game successfully because of high CPU usage.

Yes, of course that is the problem. That's what this post is all about. I get a Strict NAT and both ports 88 and 3074 are correctly forwarded on my router (Zyxel Prestige 660HW-61). Every other application installed in my computer that needs any port forwarding works fine, and I haven't had any problem with any multiplayer game before.

Guys it is not rockstars problem....

Your problem is with windows live

If you got a compatible router, in supported country and your Nat is still strict it’s not setup right... firmware, upnp, port forwarding, other software blocking it....

troubleshoot your connection by bypassing the router or turning all your security off 1 by 1....

Until it says Nat Open... it's a problem on your end....

and if you have not got out your router manual or tried contacting your router manufacture..... or gone to they site see if anyone else has same problems
