Thank you for your kind plan.

 

Tried that out.. but eventually my Windows 7 tells me GTAIV won´t start during it´s loading procedure.

I am bit confused now.. got a long GTA pause.. last time everything worked fine.

With the older 1040-Patch.. you know..

 

Can someone please hlp.

 

Want that CarSelector, PlayerSelector and what so-effer-mod working again..

Yessss!!!I resolved it!

push the righ button in the mouse on Rockstar Games (C:\Program files) and go to properties.[EDIT(before I have some fails XD)]Go to security and push the left mouse button on Edit, after that, you mus push the left mouse button on users. Down, you have to choose Total control (push the left mouse button in the square).

 

It worked for me...

I have the 1.0.0.4 v of GTA IV and the crack of Razor

so I put my loader and FilecheckFix and it worked

I use ASI Loader in 1.0.0.4. I had some problem.

 

- pool, darts etc cant work. ( ex... homebrew cafe )

- car wash doesnt work. (so i cant play Vlad mission)

- internet cafe and safehouse's PC doesnt work.

 

remove ASI loader, work fine.

I don't get it. I want to get the trainer V5.2.

 

I put dsound.dll into \GTA4\ folder from the ASI loader download. I also have trainer.ini and Trainer.asi and ScriptHook.dll which came in the trainer V5.2 download. I also put all the filecheckfix files in there too and the other download thing on this thread.

 

I didn't extract I clicked and dragged from winRAR directly into the folder with all the files. But I don't think thats the problem. Unless I need to do something in winRAR.

 

But yeah, I followed all the instructions and it just won't start and keeps giving me the 'GTA 4 has stopped working'.

 

I'm using vista. I have full access to my files.

 

It seems to only work once I have removed the dsound.dll file.

 

Do I need to delete anything from the original GTA 4 files?

Do I need any other files?

Do I run it using the LaunchGTAIV.exe or the normal application?

uh, ever since 1.0.0.4 came out, I have not been able to join a single game at all in multiplayer. singleplayer works perfectly, and does not crash at all. in multiplayer however, it comes up with the SRT10 problem.

 

 

so, I tried taking out all the mods I had installed, and this did not work either.

 

I then reinstalled the whole game, and without anything else installed, it worked perfectly.

 

I then put in the ASI Loader, the EFC20 fix and the Filecheckfix and once again, the SRT10 error came up again.

 

after a while of fiddling around, I narrowed it down to the Filecheckfix that was causing the problem, as the others were fine as they were.

 

I then found this topic: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=406198 which seemed to be a revised version of the fix, so I gave that a try as well.

 

it didn't.

 

does anyone have a solution? your ASI loader used to work perfectly for the previous versions (before 1.0.0.4)

(its a clean install, no other mods are on it; UAC has already been turned off)

 

I later found in that topic (the MP File Check Fix one) that someone had posted:

 

 

FileCheckFix isn't compatibile with Windows 7, That's the problem and we all got it! Try with XP and you'll see how it will work, with same files... I don't know why there still isn't fix which makes FileCheckFix compatible with Windows 7... I really don't...

 

ironically though, my friend has Windows 7 and it works perfectly for him.

 

so... any suggestions?

if its only the ASI loader which is stopping you from launching the game, try either launching the process with administrative rights, or disable UAC, and disabling DEP.

 

I think I've posted in this topic before on how to disable both of these things inside Windows.

that should bring up the steps I wrote on how to disable DEP and UAC in Windows.

Hey, can someone help me?

 

after copy/paste the dsound.dll file in my gta directory, i get the EFCreateError, i can fix this by running the game as an administrator but then i get a "seculauncher failed to start app" Error. Don't know how the fixc that.

 

And GTA vanilla everythng is fine, but as soon as i copy/paste the Dsound.dll its f*cked. it doesn't matter if i add filecheckfix, scripthook.

erm, the front page clearly states that it does not disable file-checking for handling.dat. you need to restore the original handling.dat in order to get it to run multiplayer.

 

 

In version 1.0.3.0 , 1.0.4.0 , 1.0.0.4 file check is enabled only for MP-suspicious files

 

animviewer.dat  cj_gta.dat  default.dat  gta.dat  handling.dat  melee.dat  networktest.dat  WeaponInfo.xml
