were can you find it by xp ? is it somewere by C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV ?

make a commandline.txt file in your gtaIV directory and put the arguments there, it will be easier to get them working that way as they'll be observed no matter how the game was started (social club or directly with the shortcut). I had issues getting the command line options to work with the shortcut no matter how I tried, but the commandline.txt file works fine for me....Not that the optional arguments have fixed any of my problems.

 

In a command prompt, you can type in "GTAIV.exe -help" to see the list of arguments. The help contents are what themasher729 posted here.

ok i have made a commandline.txt file and putted in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Rockstar Games Social Club and in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV but still it dont work i cant change my texture setting medium to high

Yeah, no matter how I tried, I can't get it to work either. Put commandline.txt with the arguments, but, no cigar. I want to see this damn game in all it's full glory

I have done so many tweaks the last few days, and now say f*ck it. I will wait for an official patch and try that if it comes out. But it's just f*cking sad how so many of us have to resort to changing or modifying sh*t to make the game run even half decent(on respectable computers). Just a waste of time really. If I could go back, I wouldn't buy this game and also would have not upgraded the f*cking computer and instead spent that money on something useful.
