CLEAN DRIVER DONT WORK FOR THE MOST PEOPLE...' Just because it worked for you doesnt mean it works for everybody... The question is do you want to play with low that looks ok or....play the game with no textures?

sheepdragon
Does killing yourself, after all that other stuff, fix this permanently, or only until it happens again? If so, I reckon that the cash will start depleting very fast...
.G.dead.T.inside.A.
I have exactly same problem as in the 1st screenshot, vehicles, people have textures rest is...umm...non existant Glad I found this 1, I'll give it a try and tell If it Works, fingers crossed (God Help pls ill be gud ) edit: it WORKS... NOT. I guess im stuck with that finely crafted GTAIV box, 2 lousy guides and a poster\map thingy my ASS. try to set the resulotion to 800:600 (56) and then to 848: (60) and then kill yourself or load a save ..i recommend killing because then the hospital loads up and the streets I tought it worked at 1st,hospital, streets and stuff loaded, but after i got to hardware store and 2 albanians supposed to show up, textures again started dissapearing, funny thing is whenever i load game in roman's place it seems everything is working, until i get out to the street just to find textures missing. Maybe Ill be able to play it after patch, or after 5 years when ill buy new pc.
sheepdragon
Tested it. The textures actually started disappearing after I died. I then restarted the game, just started driving around and it still happened.

thastrogg
downclocked it to its default value but no chance still msiisng texture. i guess it might be rivatuner though i played the game quite a while without any problem with rivatuner installed on my system but then again some posts reported rivatuner might be the problem Try this Step 1) Go to “Add and Remove Programs” within the Control Panel. Scroll through the list of installed programs and look for any third-party driver performance tuners that may have been installed previously. Step 1a) If you find any of these performance tuners open the application and reset driver values back to default. This is very important! Do not uninstall this program before you revert the changed values. Step 1b) Now close the program and uninstall it. Step 2) Go to “Add and Remove Programs” within the Control Panel. Scroll down the list of programs and remove any program with NVIDIA or ATI in the name. Step 3) Reboot your machine. Step 4) Download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card from one of the following locations: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us or http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html and save them to your computer. Step 5) Run GTA IV If your textures are still not loading in then you may have residual files from uninstalled drivers left on your machine. In order to fix the former, we recommend that you take the following steps: Step 1) Find a reputable tool that is known to clean files leftover from driver tuners. You can search for these on the Internet. Step 2) Uninstall your display drivers again. Step 3) Reboot your machine. While booting up, hold F8 until prompted with the Windows Advanced Options menu. Choose to enter Safe Mode. (Newer computers may require you to press F8 multiple times before being prompted). Step 4) Once in Safe Mode, setup the program found in Step 1 to search for display drivers. Run the appropriate cleaning option. Reopen the tool and make sure that no other display driver files are found. Step 5) Install the latest drivers that you downloaded earlier. Step 6) Reboot your machine and load Windows up normally. Step 7) Play Grand Theft Auto IV. This is the fix that rockstar posted that works for some people Source: http://www.rockstargames.com/support/gta4p...IDIA_ISSUES.doc
