They seem to have performance improvement, and maybe AA support but this i have to check myself first

tried it as well as 6-7 other drivers and beta drivers but im crashing to desktop after the main GTAIV text screen (right after the orange and blue R* logos). I know there are problems with my 7900GT cards/drivers respectively but is there any other solution, hell i just want to mkae it to the main/menu screen...

Found some posts on other forums of people having just installed this driver, claiming a raise of 8-15fps. I guess well see

These drivers fixed my “GTA IV Fatal Error: RESC10” crash to desktop issue. But now all I get is this instead:

Way to go nVidia / Rockstar, you have fixed nothing.

These drivers do seem to have improved my framerates by 20-30%, although still AA and AF cannot be forced from the control panel.

Yup, I downloaded this drivers, saw a bit improvement @ fraps, BUT i don't see any textures OMG.

I'm using now 180.60 + INF hack [without any problems], but i have sh*tty fps :<

For the guys that still dont have texture, dont just uninstall old drivers and install new ones. this wont work.

 

- Go to safe mode,

- uninstall old drivers..

- And dont forget to uninstall Rivatuner also.

- use Driver Sweeper from guru3d.com ,

- then if you have this program also use Driver Cleaner.NET,

- Then use Crap Cleaner (www.ccleaner.com),

- and then install new drivers.

Yesterday I went from NVidia drivers 167 to 180.

It increased my FPS by only 2 or 3.

First bench was 30.xx, second with 180 drivers was 33.xx

I have the 8800GT.

So i would say if you have 167 drivers and the game works, leave it.

180 drivers didnt do much for me.

yeah... bla bla...

i did that but still doesn't work. i did it with every driver i changed but no textures appearing. or maybe we should have got a warning in the first place: *textures sold separately*

i think the ppl with this problem have to wait for a patch to do the job which should have been done in the first place. i've given up trying to make it work, i'm playing solitaire and minesweeper in the meantime...

Well it sounds very weird but i had this texture issue again with 180.84 drivers.

 

Then i changed 2 settings and the game ran fine again.

 

1 is the Superfetch service in Vista. go to Run -> type "Services.MSC" and make sure the Superfetch service is on automatic and that the service is started (not stopped).

 

2 is forced AA at 8Q, if AA is off this may could cause texture issue also..

 

i havent figured out yet which of the 2 causes the problem, am working on it right now to figure this strange thing out..
