I GOT THE MISSING TEXTURE PROBLEM FIXED BY USING AN OLDER DRIVER FOR MY 7900GT.. I INSTALLED THE NEW DRIVERS ROCKSTAR AND NVIDIA HAVE RECOMMENDED (MORE PERFORMANCE, MAYOR ISSUE FIXED FOR 7900 USERS) SO WHAT? ALL THE PROBLEMS ARE BACK AGAIN. MISSING TEXTURES, f*ckED UP SHADOW RENDERING... Now im as far as i was directly after installing the game. Great work rockstar and nvidia, with your stupid recommendation to install new drivers you fooled me again! I had worked more than 14 hours to get the game running without mayor graphic errors - even if it ran really slow it was running without glitches. NOW EVERY THING IS f*ckED UP AGAIN. SUCKS DICK! Take your pick, your guess is as good as anyones....Memory leak, filling up vram with sh*t that doesn't need to be there, or it might be the overwhelming resources being allocated to rendering those fantastic shaders, or the super smooth 16x supersampling AA we can get out of this pos. I bet that is the problem, someone told me they had it (2GB ram) under vista but switching to xp made the problem disappear. dont forget vista is a ressource hog. I know, I'm running it. Just tried to track GTA IV using 'Process Explorer' to see if there is indeed a memory leak (Process Explorer gives you a nice long performance graph). But noooooooooooo, I get an error message from SecuROM saying: "SecuROM™ has determined that a Process Explorer program is running in the background." It thinks you're trying to crack it or something, so we can't even test this properly even if we want to. Yet ANOTHER annoyance of this game.
