slowrider Posted December 6, 2008 Share Posted December 6, 2008 returned. installed drivers and played game. it won't let me run my unaltered LaunchGTAIV.exe link anymore for some reason (DD3D-something error code). used the edited link, there was some improvement, but i couldn't gauge how much. didn't fix the memory leak, so that lies in R*'s hands solely. Get 3GB if you're in XP or Vista 32-bit, since that's most it'll use. 2GB should be OK for XP 32-bit, but definitely 3GB+ for Vista since it maps some of the system RAM as Video RAM when gaming. The benchmark is located on the Graphics options ingame, near the bottom of the list, you should spot it.
