Thanks Andy, but we need a dedicated server. Besides, I wouldn't seem fair if a member of one of the participating gangs hosted it. Lets not compare this with the PS3/360 games, there's a sh*tload of possibilities with SA:MP/VC:MP.

Well, in that case, a non-participating gang member can host a server, and be the judge to it.

 

Maybe ask a Z member, they have loads of servers for sa:mp

UPDATE: Registration ends at midnight, GMT today. (Nov 21, 00hrs GMT)

Tomorrow we will match the teams publicly, in this topic.

 

We have choosen Koik to match the teams, as her (albeit disorganized tounge.gif) Gang Olympics sort of interested us into get stared with this tournament. It will be a totally anonymous matching.

 

Everything will be revealed tomorrow. Koik, please check this topic later.

I believe Phusion's taking care of the PS3 games. Anyway, ask him, he's the head honcho.

 

 

No PMs, we do it here. Here are numbers representing each gang (randomly generated in a random order). Please separate them into exclusive pairs.

 

Only I know what these numbers represent. This is a little pointless, but injects a lot of randomness into the matching process.

 

 

PS3

986920, 977869, 986149, 986574, 976735, 977796

 

 

Again, for 360 and SA:MP (more randomness!) -

 

360

18921, 13267, 11542, 20332, 10400

 

SA:MP

7755, 1626, 2700, 6971

 

 

Simply put; just create unique pairs for each platform. If there are an odd number of gangs, so just set aside one of the numbers, and pair the rest.

 

There are only two VC:MP teams (3 if TCD manages to "expand its horizons"). So I think random matching will be unnecessary there.

 

[EDIT] Confirmed, TCD will not be participating in VC:MP.

Note:

  • This is based off Koik's matching.
  • The games will be conducted in the specified order, atleast one game a day.
  • Please consult your opposing gang and come up with a good time interval for both the gangs to compete. The sooner, the better (Note the specified dates for each platform).
  • Tie-breaking games will be held wherever necessary.

The timings are to be decided among the competing gangs. Just consult your opposing gang. It wouldn't be nice of us to just assign timings to our whim. If you're competing, you need to pick a suitable time-slot for yourself, the rest of your team and your opposing team in the upcoming game.

 

I'll just recommend a few dates:

 

SA:MP

  • Nov 27 - 1.1
  • Nov 28 - 1.2
  • Nov 29 - Tie-Breakers/Reserve Day
  • Nov 30 - Finals
VC:MP

Dec 1 - All VC:MP games

 

 

PS3

  • Dec 4 - 1.1, 1.2
  • Dec 5 - 1.3, 2.1
  • Dec 6 - 2.2
  • Dec 7 - 2.3
  • Dec 8 - Tie-Breakers/Reserve Day
  • Dec 9 - 3
360
  • Dec 12 - 1.1, 1.2
  • Dec 13 - 1a, 2.1

Note that these dates are recommended - if there's any difficulty, please let us know as soon as possible. As for the timings, sort it out with your opponents.
