Just a suggestion for future matches(read GT 09), i suggest all matches to be played from friday to monday, because people are usually busy with school over the week.

I didn't find the info in the topic for some reason, but what server is the TL vs Y game going to happen? I want to test if I can connect to it. SA:MP 0.2.2, right?

Aye. You'll find older versions of SA:MP here. Get "sa-mp-0.2.2-R2" or "sa-mp-0.2.2-R3".

OK, and which game mode will be the first? As listed in the list? And will we need to take the same skins/guys/characters (of course, different for each team)?

I suggest TDM, and rivershell. We have two servers for that. One is SA:MP 0.2x, adn the other one is samp 0.2.2 R3

Three gamemodes are available. Just play 3 rounds of each (one round = successful scoring by any one team).

 

Note the scores for each gamemode. Atleast one person from each team must report the outcome of the game.

 

For some reason, if you're not able to use the aforementioned servers, search for another. But only these three gamemodes - Area51, CnG, Rivershell.

 

And no hosted-at-home servers.

I thought of 2 matches. one at A51, one at rivershell. If a gang wins twice, they score 2 points and go through, but if it's 1-1 in wins, a tie match cops and gangs is played?

 

What do loonies think of this?

 

You know...would be useless to do the 3rd match if somebody wins the first 2

Sh*t! I tried to get the server list, but my SA:MP didn't show me any! There weren't any servers at all. Anything to do about that?

Also, I haven't seen Fellini on MSN yet. Getting a bit worried, because there don't seem to be any Loonies around.

Go to servers/add server and paste the IP's. Also downgrade to 0.2.2 R3.

I won't be able to play the first match but hopefully if my team wins I'll be able to be part of other matches.

Just a quick one, as far as i know dirty dozen and apoc both have more than 4 players available for our match, is it a problem if we play with more than 4 ? (obviously even teams) or do we have to play 4 a side ? Whoa this thread is quiet, has anyone actually played a match yet ? If so what were the scores etc ?

Eh, maybe you could do that with LYPS3. But all the other gangs don't have more than 4 PS3 players available.

 

Hopefully competitions should be more interesting, now that this new forum is open.

The PC games couldn't be organized well, and have been postponed. PS3 games start on Dec 4.

Anyone can start a competition - if you're up for organizing it, and willing to put a good amount of effort into it, go ahead.

I think we can just ditch the PC tourney, not sure if anyone will be interested after all those problems.

For an example, PS3, 360 and PC GTA League.

 

So all Gangs who arent DEAD are into an overal table for each ps3, 360, pc.

A draw is made , league system style. Home and away too

 

So there are, for an example 10 gangs, which means each gang plays 18 matches.

a schedule is posted, and once gangs complete matches, points are given to them.

Once all matches are completed ( teams arrange when they will play each other, over the year), the final table with points gives a winner.

 

If a new gang pops up, and wants to play, they just add their matches with all other gangs H/A style to the existing tour.

 

With a possible rule of no new gangs to enter after July, competition could go on through the whole year.

 

And well, the number of 10 gangs was just a random one, since i expect to be 3X more when IV PC releases.

The league it's a good idea but whoever takes on his shoulders the job of organizing it will have a lot of work.

My experience from organizing DTW Cup is that u really need to put a lot of effort in such things to make them work.

And u need a lot of help from the people that sign up. It's a collective effort.

I've been thinking of organizing a gang league for a long time now but really that would mean a full time job.

I'll stick to the Cup for now but whoever has the will to start a gang league, well, I'm here to help.
