Why do you guys want cops on?

Because it can make it a new and fun experience.

 

Or would you lot rather go and play a normal, standard, repeat of a match, with the exact same settings over and over and over again, yes you may be used to it, but try new things as current things will get stale after a while, probably why i would prefer NOT to have TW as part of this tournaments game modes, they are all the same.

Well, I've played several games with cops and all they seem to do is distract me. I don't see a problem with cops on, as longs as they're off for 1/2. That's what I would say but i'm not in this tournament.. So, I don't really care what the settings are. Also, at the blimps thing, I don't believe it makes you a better play either but.. With far you're more cautious [at least I am] and don't go running all over hell like when blips are on.

To be perfectly honest, I didn;t take Twind's posts as arguementative.

 

I think the majority would agree with Twind about blips though.

 

 

Cops do make for an interesting TDM, but obviously the organisers didn't fully look into the settings for consoles. Coz there's some game types which you cant have cops on for.

 

 

Hopefuly this tournie doesn;t turn into a shambles.

the blips thing is even more important actually. when the setting is set to "all", it just becomes people moving toward blips and shooting. with a different blip setting, it's more of a game. you have to think a little bit about where your enemy could be. a little more suspense. and even if you're not that great of a shooter, you might be able to surprise some people and get some kills.

 

weapons set to standard or powerful enables you to have a fighting chance if you haven't picked up a better gun.

 

i don't think anyone was trying to stir anything up, a lot of you guys are pretty jumpy. we can still have a good tournament if everyone just chills out and respects input from others.

 

i don't even care anymore what the settings are. i just wanna play the fkn game.

And stop dissing somebody that helps you along with the settings... if Twind didn't mention anything we probably would have played totally different games!

 

DDzn will find enough players to play any settings Y'ALL can decide on, but when you think about "what settings are making sense for a tournament", you should at least have an ear for somebody who already played some teammatches before you call somebody that ARGUES(!) with you a whiner...

The settings have known been announced for the consoles, these are global and will be used for every match, I'd like to thank lordjubblydave for these:

* Auto-Aim: Disallow

* Weapons: Challenge Option

* Traffic: Medium

* Pedestrians: Medium

* Blips: All

* Gamertag Display: On

* Reticule Health: On

* Voice Chat: Team Only

* Respawn Time: 5 Seconds

* Weather: Clear

* Description: Off

* Radio Station: Off

 

Any problems please discuss them in a CIVIL manner here. You are welcome to PM me (~PhusioN~) or GTArv with any worries.

We would have organised this better, if everyone had posted the players' info (in the correct format) as we requested before. I'm to be blamed for the haphazard scheduling. We've been a bit hasty.

 

My sincere suggestion to everyone is to play the games as per the schedule, if you can. If you can't make it, talk it among yourselves and fix an alternate date and time. We can hold the finals later, no biggie. Please leave a post here if any game has been rescheduled. We've got this far, I don't think we need to give up or proceed hastily now.

..I dont have so much against police on even like I see we all of DDZN prefer to play TDM & TW with police off..with police on its game "one step more realistic" so for me its ok..but blips..I must agree with TWIND..far..team or none!!

..forgot about mics..If you have it..use it..I have one but my understanding of English+ all this accents..result..I think I play better without!!!

pedestrians off and vehicles on parked .... it lags the game for one, secondally its stupid when the retard AI screw up and drive all over you, or when a ped runs in with a guy and you headshot the ped.... just saying

 

lag is a bitch, and im telling you a game with me and those traffic settings will lag all over

Here's the opinion of myself and not of my gang...

 

Weapons : Challenge Option??? I see where you are coming from but a team who are less capable at aiming could just pick RPGs therefore creating an extremely boring 20mins. Possibly make the option between Weak, All and Powerful.

 

Blips : Challenge Options - blips are what controls the tempo of a game so the home team should get to decide so the away team are forced to adjust to their style of play. Blips All in my opinion keeps GTA in the run n' gun category.

Well if you can afford a PS3 and a few games, whats 10-20 quid/$ on a headset. Not much.

I know what you're saying, but honestly if you can afford to buy a PS3, why not buy a headset.

 

 

Blips all just makes it a non thinking game, where you cant use good tactics. Takes the fun out of the game in my opinion. But I won't be playing in this tournie so my opinion doesn;t really matter anyways.

I don't think GB settings would be a big deal.. Whenever I played GB matches never had a problem with it. blips should be a teams discretion though. I believe blips far still would be the best though because it challenges you to think more where your opponent is.

Also, Not in a gang 'cause I'm not good enough.

Hell, I have like 3 headsets for my 360, one's broken though. I got a headset and then the keypad, failing to realize it come with a headset.

Blips: my humble suggestion is that in each match the teams involved find an agreement on the blips, so that everyone is happy

 

Cops: I don't mind having them on but if it's a gang competition they should be off... Anyway I usually have fights with the security guards too

@Andy: We picked a saturday since people are usually at school/college/work on weekdays. We weren't able to select suitable timings.

 

Also, Good luck on that game. Atleast one member from each team (preferably the team leaders) must report the outcome of the game.
