And when i fire up the game its the coolest thing ever and the Live system is smooth as silk. Really well done. Graphics are awesome but demanding ofcourse, but if you expect to play this game with a 8600 series card its your fault. The multiplayer is awesome and has tons of new stuff like new clothing, new models, new weapons and cars. Just wanted to write this thread since so many posts here are bad which must be because the author has a bad system or has downloaded the game. I give this a 10/10. Santa Clause won't give you anything for christmas. Nobody said that the game actually isn't good. Everybody knows GTA IV rocks. Well at least it should. If it would just run on modern computers. Lutra78 Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 I took me 2 days to make the game run perfect. But now it's really a great experience. BUT: The graphics are by far not the best. There are dozens of games out there with much better visuals and much less hardware-hunger. Especially the failing Antialiasing is a pain to the eyes, and the blur-effect makes me vomit. Did you really.... buy the game. installed it and played? nothing else? thats all? If so, you are in the group of under 5% of all PC user(not quite correct maybe) who did so. Good for you. Graphics are NOT great. they are good for this kind of game yes, but not great. Compared to WoW maybe(dunno never tried). Anyway....... Have a nice X-mas........ Yeah shame on us for expecting the little things like textures actually appearing in the game or being able to connect to multiplayer (and remain without getting booted) or using the hyped video editor without it freezing up. I know we can not trust a plethora or random guys with two days old accounts, but there a lot of legitimate people who know what they are doing struggling to get it to run properly. There are a lot of problems and people should definitely reconsider if the game is worth their money. We are not some sorry ass R* bitches, f*ck them! So i have an extreme system, but what so many people are doing wrong is that they are adjusting View Distance. It is a killer ! Even with my GTX280 with 1gb of video memory i am only allowed to do 30% view distance. So if people are adjusting this over what auto config is recommending you are begging for low fps. But 30% in the PC version is extreme, its like 10x longer than console. You can literally see several miles on a rooftop. I can understand that people with low spec computers have trouble, but it aint the game itself. Its really demanding but try auto configuration and actually play the game more than 2 minutes. Rockstar said something about GTX 280 before, they said you can max the game out on it, stable fps, a few drops but nothing major, they said. It's pretty obvious that they're lying.
