Before this holiday season is over lots more people will have bought this massive POS, so i think its time to warn them. In the least a little bad publicity for Rockstar should maybe get their execs off their fat asses and light a fire under their development team. Those little press releases they sent out "Small number of users having issues" "contact support" only to be told to expect emails and then hear nothing back. Its time to do some badmouthing, and please to all the losers on here who think that the sh*t that comes from the rear of Rockstar's developers does not stink can just go f*ckoff! The rest of us disgruntled gamers need to notify the world and make sure these bastards dont get away with this. PolarisX Posted December 5, 2008 Author Share Posted December 5, 2008 Well if you have hardware that has known problems like an ATI or nVidia 7xxx series card then id wait, but alot of us have it running. I can play a couple of hours before the memory leak causes me problems. Some people can play longer, id search the forum and find people with similar hardware to yours and see if they can play, most of the people that have similar hardware to me play just fine, just do some research first. Anyway I have to agree, I'm running just above the minimum requirements stated and then got it home and did the "See if you can run it test" and was informed that I fall below the minimum requirements!?!? Needless to say I have it running but the gameplay is overshadowed by the glitchy and laggy FPS, makes it hard to have fun with the game the way it was intended. This was a very serious letdown for me and a majority of other GTA fans that rushed out and bought it, hell I even hade to beg the missus (being so close to christmas) to get the money to buy it! medfreak Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 Sadly no matter how much people on the PC try to boycott it, it won't work much. Rockstar's income was through the console, and the PC version was an afterthought that was thrown out, because any revenue at all from the PC is to some extent a profit. The best way is to advertise this bullsh*t, because where it hurts is their Reputation. For example, till this day Capcom is facing increasing difficulty of selling their games on the PC, because of the atrocious ports like Resident Evil 4. Afterwards they released Devil May Cry 4 for the PC, which was an excellent port in comparison. Still it failed to sell much due to the reputation they got from the older games.
