Iminicus
We are five days into this month and I don't see any decisions or actions being taken in regards to this month's comp. What is happening?
Lochie_old
I came back earlier from holidays and I honestly have no idea whats happened. If nothing happens in a few hours I guess I'll give it a shot and post up.
Rhoda
To be honest I've no idea what's happening, though I'm not sure what path of action to take since Eminence was running it. Lochie, if you post details I'll happily pin it, I'm not having this competition stall. Sure, may mean we have less time to write but everyone's usually finished well before the deadline if the theme's decent. Unviriginiser had an idea for the theme, though I'm not sure what the stance is this month, I really don't.
Iminicus
Masterkraft, since you are a led by, I think you or Emi should set up and run this. I have a suggestion for the theme. I'll just repost it. I have a suggestion. What about doing a 1930's Film Noir style Detective story. These stories are the ones that begin: Today was just like any other day, until she walked into my office. She asked me if I was Frank Monroe, retired Police Detective Frank Monroe. I looked at her as she stood beneath the slow moving ceiling fan. I watched as the cigar smoke swirled around her blonde hair and as her tongue licked her crimson lips. She said her name was Gloria, Gloria Vander Hart. She said she needed a man. A real man to help her catch that lying cheating bastard of a husband. That type of detective. Lochie_old
Yeah, I thats what I told Craig. I can't remember his response but it was something like "Hmm... maybe" Craig, it'd be easier if you ran and Phil ran it, saves the problem of moderating it and such. Stefan.
Since we're in such a clusterf*ck of a situation, is it possible for us to have a general theme for the month? Just an idea.
The Unvirginiser
My theme is: The loss of a loved one Not neccecarily death, or the loss of a family member or partner. Bereavment is acceptable but let this month be an activity of expanding the writer's minds and imaginations. Maybe it's a lot to ask for such a hectic month, but I'd like everybody to give it a shot. Struff Bunstridge
Good. Let's get cracking, boys and girls, and put the recent fiasco behind us.
Ronmar The Only
I'll be in on this one again. Classes have kept me away and not writing so I need something to get me back into the swing of things. I already have an old short that fits the billing if I would want to renew it...in fact I have two shorts.
