88survivor
Silent Hill(the first one....the nurses and doctors with the music scared the sh*t out of me and me jump out of my seat). Those that always played Mafia and have it for the PC version only, the one area in the game that made very uncomfortable was the deserted prison with the drug addicts' coughing and the sound of footsteps overheard on top. You all can disagree me on that, but just that sound they made jump too much because of it. Not to mention there was surprising moments in that area where they would have come out of the doors and you go like WTF all the time.

Darren.
On Bioshock (360 version), I jumped and almost sh*t myself when a splicer sorta dived down from the ceiling as I turned around. f*ck me. :| (It was on the level where you have to go to the fisherman's lagoon/wharf and knock on the door with your wrench. Then you have to get the camera and take pictures of splicers)
Hart
Some bits in the 2 Condemned games scared the sh*t out of me! Yup, although the 2nd game wasnt really scary at all. Part from the 1st game:
Mand'alor
In Resident Evil one when your playing as Jill and you enter a small corridor that is seemingly enemy-less. Then all of a sudden as you walk by the window, a f*ckin zombie Doberman dog crashed through it and scares the crap out of you. Fun.
SaintJimmy
Or when you're minding your own business, roaming the wastes in Fallout 3, when suddenly a big f*cking claw flies in from the side at your player character and takes a chunk of your health, you turn around just in time to see swiping you across the face, and you die. Drag_Drift
Call me weak, but in Crysis Warhead, at the part where you're chasing general Lee through the ice. When you arrive at the downed boat and have to leap through it, suddenly a big f*cking aliean breaks through the ice. I was like" "finally. The en- WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT." Heihachi_73
It would have to be right here, Grand Theft Auto III. The first time I had somewhat progressed through the game, I went back to Portland for some stupid reason. I somehow drove up St. Marks to the TOYZ van unscathed and unknowing, completed the Mafia Massacre mission and drove off in the van. The instant I got back on the road, BANG! Wasted. After that, I actually thought it was by design for stealing the RC van - I thought the TOYZ people had rigged it to explode 5 seconds after the mission if you drove it! Later, the exact same thing happened in a Firetruck every single time I went uphill. I then noticed that the guys you used to work with (and killed their boss) now wanted you dead, and half of them now sported shotguns instead of pistols. Those shotguns were about as annoying as the RC car that used to chase you in GTA 1! Strangely though, I never drove the TOYZ or Top Fun (VC) vans for about 2 years - if I wanted one for whatever dumb reason I used to push the van all the way to the nearest garage! It wasn't until I decided to 'commit suicide' in this way that I found out that the vans weren't blowing up when I drove off after the mission! One thing that makes me jump occasionally is when you have a few stars (this time in Vice City), and it's completely quiet, then a cop randomly spawns in the middle of nowhere and fires his gun at you; if your speakers were up listening out for helicopters the sudden noise can make you jump a bit, especially when you're in the middle of nowhere like a car park or the Vercetti Mansion. LOL, Super Mario World made it to a 'jumpy moments' topic! What was so scary about a 300kg turtle bouncing up and down in a 'soup cup' with a smiley face on it? darthYENIK
F.E.A.R. Anytime that Alma made an appearance was a bit nerve wracking. And since I didn't know when it would happen, I'd be pretty jumpy the entire game.
Big Slow
A few times in Left 4 Dead when a swar, would appear out of nowhere and complete annihilate you. Also a section in the original Tom Raider when a raptor jumped out at me when I least expected it.
Damo.
The part in Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy where Lucas looks in the mirror and the man he killed looks back. Call of Duty 3, when you climb in a window and a Nazi pops up from nowhere and tries to choke you. Rainbow Six Vegas 2, when you think a room is clear and a sneaky bastard comes up behind you and blows the f*ck out of you. When the alert tone goes off in Metal Gear Solid 2. I only ever played it once so I wasn't expecting it. These might seem like nothing since I hardly ever play horror games.
Rhoda
The only game that really made me jump (and you're going to laugh) is House Of The Dead, either in the arcade or on my PC. I don't know if the sh*tty graphics, dire audio and the piss poor storyline had anything to do with it, but playing this as a child was one of the most exciting and scary gaming moments for me. Gezim
I haven't played a game that scared me in ages. Resistance came close though, with it's weird ass looking creatures.

Oh, haha, that game used to make me jump when I was younger. These days pretty much any game where you can be mauled from behind makes me jump, also the headcrabs from Half-Life 2. Oh yeah, and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows on PC.
[MenaceMovies]
F.E.A.R scared the crap out of me. Especially when the little girl appears. Also there was this one time in the game where the main character halucinates and then falls into a corridoor flooded with blood, then this skelinton jumps out of the blood and grabs you... it scared the living sh*ts out of me. Warplay3r
Oh jesus. What really had me on edge in a video game was Condemed 1. Walking through darkness with your dim flashlight, not knowing what'll pop out next is effin freaky. Especially in the dark, on a late night. *shivers.*
Mainland Marauder
Ain't skeered of no video game.... On the topic of Bowser, though, remember SMB3 when he didn't have the soup cup? That was a jumpy moment. He'd jump and bust his way through the floor to his death below. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be." GodfatherITB
When I was younger I used to watch my brother play one of the Resident Evils on N64. It gave me the most terrible nightmares at the time. That was pretty much the last time I got scared from a videogame.

tuff_luv_capo
Probably the one that made me jump the most: When a licker bursts through the two-way glass in the interrogation room in RE2. Other than that, anything with flashlights will do me in, regardless.
