wootface1 Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 I seem to have a bunch of different multiplayer problems. I have played a few games so I know that it can work. These are my problems in no particular order. 1. Sometimes, searching with no restrictions on game types I will find no games at all. 2. Searching with no restrictions sometimes it will say it found a large number of games (40+) but will display ~5 of them. 3. The problem might be that I live in NSW Australia, but I have only ever seen one game with green bars. Some of the games are yellow but most are red. I have a router but I'm the only one on at the moment and GTAIV is the only thing I'm running. 4. Sometimes I start a game and it says loading, then nothing happens. Sometimes I start a game then I end up in a lobby by myself. Sometimes I kicked from a game with some generic error message. 5. Adding all the people currently playing, in all of the games, on that one time, when my search listed the most number of games, the highest number of people I have ever seen online is about 40. I assume I don't see that many games because it probably doesn't display games with really high pings but shouldn't I be able to see many more people. Thanks to anyone who can help with any of these problems. I'd have to say, especially if anyone from R* is reading this, that GTAIV is simply the worst thing I have ever purchased. I'm talking outside the realm of software. Considering everything and anything I have ever purchased for myself or someone else GTAIV is the worst. Its a terrible port with terrible gameplay, graphics are horrendous compared to the console versions, networking part sucks, anti piracy part sucks, the deals with MS for the controller and LIVE sucks, you suck R*. I am sure something will get better, but I have no solution for you. If I find anything about it I will try to post it up mate. What are your up/down speed on your connection BTW? wootface1 Posted December 6, 2008 Author Share Posted December 6, 2008 Sorry I'm bumping my own thread but there isn't much multiplayer talk on here so I'm wondering if most people have no problems with multiplayer. Its either that or they can't even launch the game to try. Please tell me how your multiplayer experience is going. Can you find and get onto a lot of servers?
