mva5580
Maybe this can be filed under "obviously," but maybe not everyone is trying it and for me it was definitely worth it. In the settings, I was playing with them set to the point where the game gives me the red text saying it may effect performance. I was playing at 1920 x 1080, with both quality settings at Medium, and the #'d settings at 25/25/30/5. The game was not unplayable, but still pretty choppy. Plus having the issue of seeing close up textures having to be re-drawn when turning around/changing directions. All I did was lower the resolution just one notch, to 1776 x 1000, and that changed the text to green saying that it would be ok, and the improvement is significant. With little loss of quality, as 1776 x 1000 isn't much different from 1920 x 1080. I kept all other settings the same. It was like it took a minute or two for it to adjust to the new settings, but after that it runs very good. A big improvement over what I had before. As I said, probably something a lot of people have tried, but I don't know for me it really made a positive difference. 1920 x 1080 is the native of my HDTV and that's what I want to play it at, but until a patch or whatever 1776 x 1000 is looking just fine, and more importantly playing much better. PestilenceJM
All i can say at the moment is: If i play on 1680x1050 (my monitors native res.) or 800x600 doesnt change a single fps. Maybe i should go through all of the resolutions and see if theres a "lucky" one in between xD Tho i dont know any logical explanation for this.
