Calcutter
Well i just turned on Gta tonight and im experiencing weird vertical artifacts. Ive tried several other games like cod-waw and left 4 dead and Dirt but im not getting artifacts in those games just GTA. Anyone having the same problems? or have any suggestions. Thanks Specs q6600 gtx 260 4 gb ddr2 800mhz I googled "GTA IV artifacts" and this was one of the first links to appear. I am also experiencing the same issue. Specs: Windows Vista 64 Intel Q6600 @ 2.66GHz 4GB DDR2 RAM ATI Radeon 512MB HD4870 I have tried almost everything to resolve this issue. I disables my sound card, killed all processes running, I even ran 3D Mark to make sure it wasn't my card on the fritz. I tried to lower the GFX settings and managed to run the game for around 20 minutes, quit it, then went back in same settings, it froze and gave artifacts within the firs minute. What makes me curious now is the fact you have an Nvidia card, it seemed the general problem to me was more so ATI cards. Anyone else experiencing similar issues? soqzippo
This sounds like the lamest suggestion... But honestly all i did was uninstall reinstall. Updated anything on my pc that needed updating. Artifacts are gone and believe it or not the game actually runs smoother now. Actually fun to play. Lets hope the patch is released soon so i get an even better boost in performance.
