houjie15
Hi all I know I am yet another one reporting those problems. But what make my situation a little different is that I already installed .NET framework 3.5 and 180.48 WHQL Nvidia drivers and all VISTA patches, and freezing and crash still occurs every several minutes. The problem is just after several minutes playing, the frame goes down to 0 or 1, the screen freezes and then VISTA prompts that GTA 4 stopped working. It is really, really frustrating. I purchased the steam version of GTA 4. And my PC's spec is: OS: VISTA Home Premium 64 bit, with all latest patches and .NET Framework 3.5. Display driver is Nivdia 180.48 WHQL. CPU: Q9650 Motherboard: EVGA 780i SLI Memory: G.Skill DDR 800 2*2GB Graphic Card: EVGA GTX 260 PSU: Coolmaster 1200W I run most games smoothly. It is obviously a issue of the game itself and I know that a fresh-released version will have various bugs as happened on other titles before, so later comes patches. But at least most games is "playable" right after release, which GTA 4 fails to be. It should be more properly called an 'alpha' version for testing rather than a retail one. Can Rockstar consider what it is like after a fun splash 50 bucks only to find the supposed dream game is actually a hassle? Anyway I would like to know how to solve those problems and when the patches will be out.
