Net-Zao
I'd honestly like to know if I have a bottleneck...or wtf is going on here. My settings... Med textures Med Render Draw Distance = 5 Detail Distance = 2 Every other slider is at 1 Res 1600, 1200 QuadCore 3.4ghz 3 GB Ram 8800 Ultra Vista32 Why the f*ck do I get 10 fps in multiplayer without all the sliders down with a top-line system? Am I missing something here? Single player runs 10X smoother.
jb99
Didn't get get the README? It's a "future game". Expect 32 player MP to be playable in 5 or 10 years.
MMhardKy
How much do you get in singleplayer? I'm getting less than 24 average on 2x GTX280OC!!! (yes, SLI can be activated via Nhancer and works, at least technicaly). I think just about any CPU currently on the market wll be a bottleneck for this game. It practicaly runs in software mode. Maybe a 10GHz octa-core would solve the problem... Or make the engine use at least some of the GPU power... My 3.82GHz dual core surely is one big bottleneck. I know it's no quad, but a freakin 3.82GHz core2 duo to cause the fps to go down to less than 20??? The whole game is a joke. Crysis looks like a CGI movie and runs better and I'm sure it has more polygons, shadows, effetcs, etc. And now, GTA4 is not a simulation of a big living world. Every car and pedestrian is just a random pop-up which dissapears as long as you go 50m away. The only positive thing GTA4 PC brought to me is that I realised how well Crysis actualy works on my PC.
