LOL figures they set more time into piracy topics then into topics about texture errors and all that must suck for them to know that the 'problem' is fixed now I think it good R* is visiting the forum, they can see the problems we all having and maybe tell us how to get round them or go back to R* and make a patch. I'm not sure who will have access, but presumably it's someone (or some people) who "know sh*t" if they're going to be providing/asking for technical information to help them fix the game. Yeah, once again I failed t expressing myself. My question would be - is it going to be some guy at the level of people who would answer e-mails (I'm not trying to dis anyone, I just consider them to be less involved) or actually someone from the dev team? Somewhere in R* HQ there are real gamers somewhere and not just money men, just a faint glimmer of hope for the future. One can only hope. Plus that new account pretty much says it all really. It would indeed make sence to have a thread of collective bugs and clitches and game killers and *game not starters* But I would see it as admin/s place to fill the thread and lock it for other to come with c*nt and dick and other sh*t. KarmaPolice Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 wow, nice.. i got a message for them.. guys, if you want people to buy their original game, do it playable. a lot of people of my country are actually playing it illegally, but they were going to buy it original, but the performance, suckazz shadows, bugs, made they to change their minds. your game its a must have original, make a nice patch to fix all the bugs, performance and all the sh*t and i'm totally sure that almost 80 or 90% of the copys would be original. A game company allows a representative to join one of it's fan sites and actually interact with the customers and hopefully be helpful. That is promising news by Rockstar. bp2018 Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 Yeh the patch should only be available to people who validate their game again, just to annoy those pirates even more, should also be a built in no-dvd IF you login online, that way even if the servers die we can pull the dvd back out, or login online to avoid the hassle. I really don't like putting the dvd in the drive, I dont have the game yet I pick it up tuesday and hope to god its atleast playable OR that a small patch is released, but I doubt it will be released for another week yet. It's not about the hassle of putting the dvd in the drive, even though I do have to open the case at the front to put it in, then close the front again every dam time, leaving it open isnt feasable since its by my leg, but the real reason is i have had so many games scratched to hell because the dvd drive simply drops the dvd down while its spinning, doesn't do it all the time but occasionally drives do this, and after 10 or 20 times it can cause problems. (actually surpised they havn't made a new style of drive that doesn't rely on laying it down on a tray) ;/ Still I will live with using the DVD for the time being until rockstar can possibly find a way of putting in a no-dvd system for legitimate users. What im trying to get at is that rockstar IS viewing the forums and IS trying to help out, and I can understand people abusing them for a poor release but this is a brand new engine so problems are expected and atleast we can see they are listening. One thing that got me about that post though was that they posted ways that pirates were cracking the game, such as deleting a .dll file etc, (although I don't have the game im not sure if thats an actual file, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was) Still I got a chuckle, hopefully on tuesday I can beat up some hookers and drown them in the river, then go pick up gta 4.
