AussieDave27
We all know that bumping up textures from medium to high (something that is restricted for many of us) can wipe off about 6-10 fps. What about render detail? I haven't fiddled around with it much due to it crashing so often. What is the recommended setting really? Does Highest really make it look much better than Very High and High and how much of a performance hit do you get?

This will rely on your gfx card, I just use the 'auto' option in graphics settings and stuck with that, I also get the crashing REC error or whatever it is, and I have tried turning things down to give me more than enough GFX ram. I even tried turning the rendering right up, it looked amazing, but the crashes happen anyway so I can't fully optimise my settings yet.
AussieDave27
If rending depends more on your graphics card that your cpu then i should go alright since my e8400 cpu is bottlenecking my 4870 graphics card.
dudester123
It seems the same for me when I bump texture detail up to high, maybe even smoother. And it says it's using 800+MB of my video card memory when I only have 512MB (I have a 8800GT).
