UltimatE157
After jumping through hours of hoops, I was able to play the game for a whole 2 missions. (Hoops included Social club, graphics issues, service pack install, .net framework install, windows live) Now the game will not load. If I sign out of windows live, I MIGHT be able to play the game. After I click "Start Game", the loading screen appears and music is playing. No matter how long I wait, the music eventually stops but the loading screen pictures keep cycling. Only remedy is to kill the process via task manager and try again. 1 in 10 tries results in the game ACTUALLY loading.

Kamox
Another problem (PC), which I reported earlier (at least 3 people in this forum having the same touble) is that as soon as the game loads, it forces a monitor refresh rate not supported by the monitor itself (so that the monitor shuts itself down and/or an error message by the monitor's firmware appears). Adding command line parameters such as "-safemode" or "-refreshrate XX" (where "XX" is a known supported refresh rate) does not solve the problem. I payed for the game, downloaded via Steam (7 hours) and I still can't play it. I'm really, really disappointed. I sent an email to Take2 Interactive (Italian branch, where I'm located) this morning, no answer. cntcncr
After I click "Start Game", the loading screen appears and music is playing. No matter how long I wait, the music eventually stops but the loading screen pictures keep cycling. I found that alt-tabbing out and back in again forces it to get to the loading text every time. Chroniss
Sometimes when returning from a game back to lobby in multiplayer, the game will not allow the host to select a game mode or start the match. If the host leaves, another person in the server becomes the host and has the same issue. The entire server has to be shut down and re-created for it to work again. Also, random crashes in multiplayer. These happen during game play and result in a windows application error, with the close - details dialogue box. This never happens in single player. I have no information to pinpoint this, it happens at random intervals.
Rosbjerg
There's an issue for people with Asus P5Q motherboards, using Realtek onboard audio and an ATI card - that makes the game go ultra fast, like 1.5-2x normal speed.

Moorchi
The game freezes with weird boxes/speckles either during opening cinematic or 2-5mins into the game for everyone running the game on a Radeon HD4870 graphics card. Ceano
I have installed Windows Live and everything but when i try to log in through the game it says that my LIVE ID does not exist or the password is incorrect, i do write the login and password correct because i can login to Windows Live through explorer without any problem. EDIT: I have solved my problem by making a new Windows Live account, because the old one i had a "backslash" in the password and that did not work with the in-game login to Windows Live. Apo-TTCC
Things i've noticed: Cutscene FPS drop to 4FPS while the game itself runs ok > happens when Kaspersky is running > Solution found: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=379009 Edit: Same happens with Sophos > no solution (correct settings) yet No 4.1 speaker surround support > i can only choose Stereo/Headphones. Changing the Windows speaker setup to 5.1 gives more ingame speaker options but the voices are missing because they get played over the center speaker which is not present on a 4.1 setup. Bowling > mousemove like in the instruction is not getting recognized many times. I end up in moving the mouse forward and backward rapidly until the bowlingball finally gets released but then the control is pretty bad. Bowling > when you throw the ball that bad that it jumps out of the lane you can only press 'E' to abort the minigame, otherwise you can wait forever since the game does not recognize it. I tried (as someone else said to do) alt-tabbing back and forth but that didn't help either.. Any ideas??
