:DRX: ¡EyE!
Any reason why my vehicle isn't saving in the reserved parking spot when I save at the apartment? It was for a while, but not anymore...lol. Please advise. EyE
Graven
One possible scenario is that it´s bumped out of the parking lot by another vehicle. Or Bill Gates stole it and sells it to become even more richer!
Rhoda
Be sure your car is well within yellow. Many a time I've had a car vanish because the wheel creeps outside the line. Also, if you had a wanted level at the time of saving, police cars can ruthlessly batter their way to you, knocking your cars out of the space. :DRX: ¡EyE!
Damn it Bill Gates, lolol. Yeah, I'm off to work right now, but I'll check out what you're talking about when I get home this afternoon and report back, thanks for the ideas. dr.whiz
i think it's retarded they haven't implemented a way to save cars wherever you park them as long as it's not in the middle of the street. with other words, as long as you park it in a parking spot it should be saved. it would most likely not be too hard to implement keeping a list of coordinates in your game file. obviously i don't know how their framework is built but seriously, if it made any sense i can't see how such option would be that hard to implement. would be a lot easier for role playing and be a better reality feature. :DRX: ¡EyE!
I tried all the suggestions, double tried them and still no luck; my car is not in the parking spot when I load a saved game. Must be a bug, but it forces me to steal a lot of cars, lol. Thanks for the help! Does anyone know, are there garages later in the game?
Graven
Yes, but it´s not for saving your cars.
Unit Deserviced
One time, a fat cop busting a random ped stole the FBI car I "borrowed" right out of my parking space and drove off in it. Also, your engine does NOT have to be off to save your vehicle in a parking space. As long as part of the vehicle is inside the yellow rectangle, it should save, but it is probably a good idea to park it inside the lines to reduce the chance of something knocking it out of the way. In addition to that, if you park your car and then run or drive about a block or so away (far enough so that the vehicle is no longer drawn), your car will disappear but then reappear completely repaired when you come back. Unfortunately it sounds like your problem is a bit more unusual if you have tried everything suggested and your vehicles still don't save.
Homer Simpson
As kikoo61 already mentioned make sure you take the keys out of it or it'll get nicked.. I've found most that I leave running by hoping out nearly always vanish, but if I turn them off which I assume means taking the key out (hold down f when getting out you'll hear the handbrake go on and the engine will stop) they have always been there, even if I leave em for ages and go on missions.
