GTA4; Can't login to GFWL

I can't login to Games for Windows Live while in-game (which I need to save and stuff?), though I can use the client outside of the game, so the login is working. Here's a few screens;

I think the problem is that the service isn't recognising my internet connection, judging from one of the pictures, as it doesn't say my IP, so a solution to this is what I need? I tried disabling my firewall already, so other suggestions or the solution is welcome.

Do you have two network adapters by any chance? like one ethernet and one wireless or two ethernet, if so, try disabling the one you arent using.

Nope, just the one.

 

I had a hamachi network running as well so I tried uninstalling that but it's the same as before.

 

My copy is retail, so it's not a pirate problem.

You can register an offline account, maybe not in your case with it not loading up but there must be a profile folder stored away on your own PC to do it.

As soon as someone finds out where your problems will be solved I hope, well at least you will get to save anyway.

I can make an offline account, so I'm sorry if I gave the impression that I couldn't. I just need to login to a proper account so I can play online.

I'm having the exact same issue ive tried uninstalling windows game live.

 

 

reinstalling new version. disabling all other network connections even uninstalling them

 

but still to no avail.

 

 

I'm on vista 32bit ultimate edition.

My issue was update the WL program.

 

Though it clearly is not your issue, there is a good chance someone might read

this thread thinking it will help them, and their issue may be the same as mine was.

I've tried turning my firewall and anti virus off completely. I don't have a router so that's out of question too.

Finally after painstaking progress got this to work.

 

 

 

i had a couple of issues updating

 

 

.Net framework from 2.0 to 3.5 but once completed.

 

 

 

 

1.Install .net framework 3.5

2.Open ports 88,80,443,3074 TCP&UDP also 1024-500 port range

 

 

if now get the below error

 

 

3. Make sure you are out of the DMZ odd i know but it worked for me all the ports are open.

4. Check to make sure Games for Windows Live is updated and correct.

5. Also a thing to note Turn off the IVP6 protocol on your main adapter,

6. As welsh dragon pointed out make sure all other connections are disabled.

7. Check the priority order in Windows Vista connection priority order

8. After all this attempt to sign in using live in game

im trying to re-install the game but it wont even let me revoke my cd key

You dont need to sign into live for single player...just make an offline account.

offline means u cant play mp but u can play sp but it doesnt record your stats etc

 

i would do that but the cd key is now f*cked

ps i worked out my firewall was the problem with the cd key and i got that back
