Chevyboy
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=280709 Beta`s are up, no specific mention to GTA4 but this was finished before the game was released. Nevertheless other driver updates have effected games not listed. Will go on the official site Dec 10th but those having issues with ATI cards may want to try them out now. Enjoy! minter66
Thanks! I was expecting the OP to say something like, "Get nVidia ahahahaaa!11". Heh, that's always their answer! While this is cool, I agree with one of the posters above me, 8.11 was terrible. If you see my thread in the main forum, I was running ALL LOW and getting 5 fps on 8.11 Rolled over to Omega Drivers and got their 4.xx series drivers, and my FPS went to 28 - 32, but I also hacked my system apart to get every last MHz I could out of it. Thanks, but no thanks. Omega Drivers FTW

Eugh, you haven't seen nVidia's Vista drivers, my rig has a heap of bugs that I have to squash every time I update the drivers....

Chevyboy
Back to page 1 Glad to hear its helping some, sorry to others Keep in mind, these drivers were already finished before the game was released, odds are we'll a hotfix patch soon from ATI as they did with Farcry 2. Good luck to those that will try these later today. Can't comment because I was one of the lucky ones with 0 problems and a 35-45 FPS game with max settings with 8.11. Well, I need to make an update here, I uninstalled and cleaned the drivers away completely, and then reinstalled the beta ones again, and now it does seem like the game is a liiiittle more smooth. okei
Apparently NVIDIA drivers are one of the main causes of BSoDs in Vista. Edit: That was supposed to be a reply to Joe.
