stingray.
Hope I didn't drop into the wrong section. Um Ok, so I've got this audio file which is a little too long. The audio itself ends at 4.01, but the slider drags it all the way to 5.22. Is there any way to get rid of the extra minute and a half?
Rhoda
Audacity may help you. It's a very handy audio editing tool. I'm new to it myself so I don't know if it'll cut songs down to size but it's worth having if you love your music. It's fun to tinker with from time to time too. stingray.
Thanks. Will try out. I didn't find many Google results either, which kinda led me to believe that this might not be possible. Otter
Here's a super simple solution. Open the file in SoundRecorder (on every windows machine) position the cursor at 4:01 and choose Edit (i think) > Delete After Current Position. Then: File>Save As. Even though I had to convert the file to .wav first.
Otter
Just be sure to use high quality settings - sound recorder has a nasty habit of defaulting to low quality.
