GamerJerome Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 is there already someone who have played gta iv with everything on highest settings ? so yes how does it run/look and what kind of card do you need becuse i have a nvidia 9600gt and only my texture settings can on high and i cant change my render it is on medium and distance vieuw 26 but if i play a mission i do not see the video but if i set my nvidia on high quality i can see the video of the missions but then i get a rec10 error or somting Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dr.whiz Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 as of right now i think the only ones that stand a chance on playing everything on highest settings with a respectable fps must have an i7 processor. i have a e8500 3,16 ghz processor but it runs fine with highest textures and medium renders but i think its more the grafical card that have it heavy to play the game not really. if you look around in this forum you'll notice people with monster graphics cards not being able to play it right. and you'll notice the inconsistency in benchmarks among users. i think you stand a chance of playing the game at the highest settings at a respectable fps with an i7 processor and a 8800gtx than with your processor and 59 thousand next gen graphics cards, the way it is now. but hopefully things will change if they do something about this and release a patch of some kind. With render on medium the high textures will only be displayed in a small area around you in game before switching to the lower reolution textures outside this circle. Medium textures and high up to highest render looks miles better as the quality is kept out much further in the distance. Low textures just, well dont bother really as they are ugly.
