Fritsie
One more to add to the enormous amount of problems. This one I could not find yet in the forums as an issue, so maybe it is very simple to solve. I bought the DVD version and eager to play it , I installed it, including all the required add ons. When starting GTAIV I get the launcher-window, which does not show any text inside. The mousepointer changes to a rotating CD which I believe is the SECUROM stuff. Also the CD-drive is spinning up. Then Vista shows a windows showing that LaunchGTAIV stopped responding and Windows is looking for a solution. Naturally there is none and all windows then vanish from the screen. I tried to launch the game via: - Rockstar Social Club logged in - Rockstar Social Club logged out - Directly in Explorer via double click on LaunchGTAIV.exe Specs: Intel Quad Q6600 2 GB Internal Memory NVidia 8800GTS 384 MB Vista SP1, 32bit Note I also have other SECUROM games like FarCry2 and Spore which run without any issue. Anyone came across this problem and might have a solution?! Edited December 4, 2008 by Fritsie

Fritsie
At least I got it running now as well by disconneting from the internet by taking out the cable. I then launched LaunchGTAIV.exe and it worked.
