Lutra78
Just noticed the following: During the game I switched back to desktop. Then I noticed that my pc is exchanging alot of data with the internet. I opened the taskmanager an saw that "gtabrowser.exe" ist using about 5% of the cpu. I waited some time an noticed that gtabrowser.exe is downlading more than 100MB within 2 Minutes (I'm on 20Mbit/s cable). After I cancel "gtabrowser.exe" the data transfer stops. So what the hell is this program downloading, and where does this data go??
MattHackin
Better not be. Not that I can play the game anyway yet as my textures still aren't working after numerous attempts at fixing them but I am on a crappy New Zealand internet plan and only get 20gb a month, and 15gb has already been used downloading this monstrosity. catzilla
Use a firewall and block gta from accessing the internet. That's what I do.

That explains why I can constantly hear one of my HDDs writing while playing the game, could be a possible cause of some slowdown. Seemed to be accessing more than usual for just streaming alone. I have a Coolermaster case with a mesh side panel and can hear all that geos on inside the case as it is on the desk right next to me, the HDD accessing did get me wondering WTF was going on. Tonight gtabrowser.exe will find it's ass disabled. Thanks for that bit of info.
