dr.whiz
you're not gonna get far with that processor and that video card. the processor is below the minimum requirements and the video card is touching the bottom of them

dr.whiz
it seems everyone has no correct answers for running or if the game is good i aint really heard anything good about the game yet well i guess the minimum system requirements still work as a pointer as to what will run and what won't run. either way you can't really expect it to be playable if you're below any of the things listed in the list. Rickzu
Your brother has been lied to, that PC is not going to run GTA IV "easily", instead it will be breaking a sweat trying to start it. Rule #1 of PC-gaming: NEVER buy pre-built PCs, and NEVER believe what the store clerks tell you, they're always cheating to get the sale. I've been told the fattest lies in so many PC stores I can't even remember...like this one guy was trying to tell me this laptop could run the latest games when clearly the windows vista bubble screensaver was lagging right before my eyes. It's good fun to go asking around for sh*ts and giggles, but for the love of gaming choose the parts yourself.
bp2018
Sorry but that is way below specs for gta 4. Not sure where they got off saying it would run gta 4 easily, seems like they were either looking for an easy sale or know nothing about computers, still, wont know properly until a patch is released. X2-Eliah
At stores, when buying PCs, never buy pre-built ones. Unfortunately, with laptops, this point is quite null and void. About the store clerks, well, if you don't know them personally, then yes, don't trust them. Get the specs of the laptop, then go home and look for what it's built on and how that sort of thing will work. Since you already have it bought, well - the graphic chipset will struggle with any modern game. Processorwise, the laptop is, again, below needed (1.6Ghz AMD Turion 2core), and for an intensive/badly optimized game such as GTAIV, well, it will not cut it. So, yeah, return the laptop to the store on the pretenses of false advertising (since the clerks represent their company, thus what they said about the laptop = what the company might have put on an advert. They gave you false information on the laptop's general performance, and you can complain, and get a better one by paying the extra cash (cost of new - cost of old one). Not sure it may go through with court, but it will work on the store manager.
