NiTrOUs3D
Whenever I play Grand Theft Auto IV on Multiplayer I get a BSOD ( Blue Screen Of Death ) after a couple minutes and I quite can't figure out what is causing this. Single player does not have this problem. Please help?
bp2018
Telling us which file the bsod is referring to would help, without this it could be one of a million issues, also telling us what OS you are on would be a help aswell.

bp2018
No no the error will refer to a specific file, a .dll. or .sys file for example, this is then used to work out what driver caused the BSOD. I would ASSUME that this is related to a network driver of some sort or possibly securom messing something up, but no one else has had securom related issues as of yet, very hard to tell you what IS going on without knowing which file it refers to. bp2018
Definately screams driver issue to me, what windows and service pack are you using, I would assume xp sp3 or vista sp1 but some people have used "work arounds" to bypass those checks. Forgot to ask what your computer specs were as BSODS can also be caused by overheating and since multiplayer stresses the computer more than singleplayer this could also be a valid reason. bp2018
The best I can suggest is to lower a few settings down a bit to lower video memory use and to update your netwok cards drivers and see if the issue goes away, also make sure you have sp3 and .net 3.5 + 3.5 service pack 1. I know you should have those last few anyway but as I said some people used "work arounds" for some unknown reasons. One other thing you can do to try and track down the issue is to go to the control panel and load the administrative tools, check the event viewer for any errors that pop out like a sore thumb, ussually with a red icon around the time of the crash. crackdawg
BSOD only* happens when something goes wrong in kernel memory(usually a buggy driver.) Try playing on a non admin account, it might be SecuRom 7.

crackdawg
I get the same BSOD to But i have a hd4870 1gb And with the newest drivers Then it's probably SecuRom. Are you running it on an admin level account?
