This is ridiculous. I payed 20 quid for this pile of crap, it took 2 days to download. Then I had about 2 hours of problems of it not even starting up. After finding a fix I logged out of social club or w.e and it starts up.

 

Then I run a benchmark to see how itll run before I even attempt to play, on recommended settings. And it laggs to sh*t. So I lower the settings. Its not great, but its playable.

 

Then I start a new game, and it crashes as soon as i seem to collide with anything in my car.

 

Then you have to deal with all the bulls**t signing up to stuff, annoying windows live, graphics seem to be dodgy ingame, and I havnt even attempted trying multiplayer yet. Thats probably because by the time I access my phone ill of crashed anyway.

 

To be honest, if something was released with a defect, youd get your money back, or instant great customer service with quick patching.

 

Rockstar has just stole my money completly, and to think 5 days ago I was going to download the pirate copy, but I thought, no, this is a good game and I know how good san andreas was. Ha, worst decision ever. And to top it off, im ill with serious nausea from quitting smoking.

If I get no help within the next few hours, I want a refund off steam ( IF THATS POSSIBLE ) or im complaining via letters and emails to rockstar, because this makes a mockery of pc gamers. I have some up-to date hardware, and the 360 is anything but that anymore. So why has it got like 10xxxxxx better graphics. Sort yourselves out Rockstar, you cant make money by ripping people off. And if I get a post saying, its just you. Shush. I can tell by the huge amount of posts via google that this release is a mockup

 

Apologies for my flaming, but this rubbish release + my nausea, aggitation from quitting, and various other things have made this a very bad day.

Man, I'm in the same situation. My computer is somewhere in between the Minimum - Recomanded range specs, and I thought I could play it on 800x600 and everything low, and maybe complete the game another time when I'll have a better PC. But even on the lowest settings possible I get 9-14 FPS, which is unplayable. Name any other game on the market today, I can run it AT LEAST on medium settings with a decent 30-40 FPS, but no... GTA IV is special. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm really sorry I bought the game. If you would have told me 2 days ago I would write such a thing I would have probably kicked you in the head.

Rockstar really dropped the ball this time. Great job on f*cking over the PC users. You look more and more like EA everyday.

Really suprised at how many people are having problems. You'd think they would run alot of simulations of different hardware (as they are meant to) so as to not release a pile of crap. Why release something that needs a patch straight away rockstar ?

 

On an 8800GT why do I have problems ? Rockstar are a joke!
