krookie
Make sure that you log in to RGSC to get it to work and use -norestriction instead of -norestrictions. From my experience it does not work if you do not log into RGSC. I was not able to log in due to the MMA10 error and the -norestriction thing didn't work. Now that I don't get that error anymore and can log into RGSC, the -norestriction thing works just fine.

dr.whiz
apart from reports of you having to be logged in the social club in order for the -norestriction parameter to take affect here are some guidelines: if you are using a retail version of the game: then, there obviously is an executable that launches the game, as in LaunchGTAIV.exe (as far as i'm aware of that's the only one that does just this for RETAIL versions). if you are having trouble for some odd reason to create a shortcut for this file, try using the command prompt to launch the game and add the command line parameter there. shortcut version: right click it, select properties, select the shortcut tab, in the target path text box, add -norestriction all the way at the end of the value string, after the quotation leaving a space between " -norestriction. the result should look something like this: target path: "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\LaunchGTAIV.exe" -norestriction command prompt: enter the following: cd C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\ (or wherever you game folder is located) enter the following LaunchGTAIV.exe -norestriction if you're not using a retail version of the game, as in using steam or whatever there have been suggestions as to what do to but with unconfirmed results. Since steam for instance launches all it's games through Steam.exe with parameters pointing to what game to launch it's a matter of carrying the GTA IV parameter through the steam process to reach the actual LaunchGTAIV.exe (or whatever gta entry point steam uses). some suggest adding the parameter to game launch options in steam.
