Weses
Anybody else notice that when you play a clip in the video editor, it sets the detail and view distances both down to 1? Whenever I play clips that show me driving fast, I can see tons of peds and objects popping up in front of me. There are no pop-in issues at all while I'm playing the game normally, everything that's popping in is loading very far in the distance so it's unnoticeable. But when I play a saved clip, just... wow. It's so bloody annoying, it makes creating quality machinima in GTA IV a very frustrating task. Does anybody know a fix for this? icemoke
@NYCboy You can try to edit your video, and when you are done placing cameras, etc... hit the "h" key to hide the time bar and use fraps to capture the sequence. Then use some video edit software like premiere, vegas... to render the final clip in a much better quality than the gta editor. Actually, that's what i do Salut. This is exactly the way to do it if you pc will allow with not much stuttering. I go so sick of the editor render times, now its come to the stage I can capture, jump to editor edit the camera, run off via fraps and exit without saving the edit and removing capture files to save space. Obviously you save to store for future, but this process of hiding hud and then fraps is a dream when you want to get ideas and edits done fast. This is for people who dont care too much to upload to R* video site obviously.

GTAMonkey2012_
You may find issues like that if scenes were captured with mods, especially if mods have changed or been removed since the scene was captured. I had a lot of crashes due to this. Now I make sure that if I capture clips I keep the same setup and dont change anything until a movie is done or footage is fraps'd first. It captures geometry data and all sorts so if say vehicles get swapped/modded I would "guess" the mesh would not comply to the scene from the original car data and cause crashes, things like that.
