Because its full screen rendering not background rendering so it takes full processing frame by frame, the times you are quoting are normal, not great i admit .. but about right. 720p 3 mins for me can take over 30-40mins. Can any1 help me, when I turn on clip capture it says I don't have enough system resources to enable clip capture in single player. Any idea? I wanna make more videos. Turn on clip capture at the main menu "before" you enter the game and try that, patch 2 gives the option under "game" from the main menu now. Or, lower your texture level to medium and free up some Vram. This error can sometimes happen if you switch on at a busy moment and most system is used so the capture buffer cannot start up. AI and physics is CPU also. Its doesn't use GPU physics (nividia) its all part of the engine and all CPU. Basically the renderer is actually running the game frame by frame and calculating then taking a frame snapshot and rendering out step by step .. so it still ends up being rather slow. Also its running in real time frame by frame "full screen" so it does take some time. Think of it like a 3D application, its creating the models, physics, textures, calculations full screen then dumping ... its not simply creating a 2d flat image, its a whole 3d scene and everything that entails within a moment in GTA and more often than not with allot going on as well. DAV1D90 Posted February 21, 2009 Share Posted February 21, 2009 ok here is my "solution": prepare your video for export, select preview clip, start recording in fraps, after all clips stop recording and use Virtual dub for cut loading scenes. Now you have video exported in real time... But also this have limitations, if your game cant run at 25-30FPS, your video will be unwatchable, you have details which you have set in game. (I think Video editor export renders on highest settings...) and bonus is that you havent R* and social club logos hardcoded in video... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MiG-45 Posted February 25, 2009 Share Posted February 25, 2009 I`m not sure if its the right thread but video clips seriously suffer from this bug - I couldn`t save car damage - Im saving clip when car has been serioulsy damaged, but when I open it in Video Editor - its new! Same happens when I saving game - but its not bad when you left your broken car behind your safe house and after sleep (save) see its new again - but for making videos its not good at all - anybody know about solution ? I also noticed more of these bugs with bikes. For instance, if you park a bike near (certain) food stands. Foot stand bug.
