UPDATE 2 :

ok seems you can get around the MMA10 problem by making sure your not logged into Social Club before you play the game.

its possible to log into windows live after the game has loaded to enable Saving progress

GFX performance is fine with my system spec (e6700 dual core 2 GB memory BFG 8800gt OC2) as long as graphics settings are not set too high , i can play in 1280 x 1024 fine

hope this helps.

ps logging into social club at any point in the game exits with a crash, will need a patch soon !!!!!

The only help i can give is to NOT login to Social Club and click the 'PLAY' button on the Social Club window. This was the only way i could get into the game.

Before i installed the .net framework i could not load either GTAIV.exe or the Social Club.

It is very frustrating, finally Rockstar have damaged their almost perfect reputation and produced a mickey mouse 'CONSOLE-CONVERSION-FROM-HELL' !!!!

I think PC users will have to accept they developed the new engine for consoles and PC gamers were an after-thought.

How many Setups did they test this on ?

Rockstar has issued a statement, acknowledging that it is "aware that a small number of fans are having problems running GTA IV."

COMPLETE BOLLOCKS !!

I would say A LOT of users are having difficulties playing

How the hell do i play online when it keeps crashing ??!? mad.gif

Well i know for a fact my files arn't the problem because i've installed and reinstalled over and over again.

I've even had a friend of mine send me his social club files.. to no avail!

Must be something with my widnows ... but I'm clueless sad.gif *Reads requirements again*

Yeah, small number of fans my ass, you console-producing sell outs.

I have the same problem.

SP3 with .NET 3.5

It just crashes upon being double clicked.

Is there anyway to launch a class action lawsuit for producing a worthless program and claiming it to be a functioning game?

So I then accept these terms, then get this screen.

Clicking on either join social club or log in now both cause this screen

Are we gonna get any help with this at all? FFS it's a real pain in the ass to see people who legally purchased the game getting this treatment while we have crackers out there laughing at us for wasting our money...

HELP US!!

I have the exact problem as the above poster!

My specs:

XP 64bit

GT8800

quad-core intel 2,5ghz

Bought the game through steam, and the first time a steam game has sucked so hard. All my other games runs perfectly, like Gears of War, Mass Effect, Crysis and so on. WTF Rockstar?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understood, they're only gonna fix GTA IV itself, and not the Social Club confused.gif they don't give a damn when 1% of the gamers have a problem with it that they can't solve on their own. Whatever I heard better be wrong!!! suicidal.gif bunch of noobscakes they are!

Does anyone know if the patch will also include fixes for the Social Club as well as GTA 4?

Damn! Thjere is not even a crack that would allow you to play without that Fuc**ng social club! I am quite sure that the game itself would work just great.
