Byku
Yeap... exacly. I've got Radeon HD4870, E7300 Core Duo(overclocked), 4GB of ram... and GTA is running too bloody fast! I triet to synch fps with my monitor(60)... didn't help. What should I do? P.S.: What I mean by "too fast" is that Nico... well... everything aroung him goes at least twice or more faster than it should(well... exept tv and conversations, and maybe some other non-graphical things). gta4freakk
I had the same issue with san andreas. All I did is downloaded AMD dual core optimiser. Well you might not have the same specs as mine, but you have to find and download some optimiser for your system. For me it cleared the issue with SA. Try that

Rosbjerg
I have the exact same issue. My specs: XP pro ATI EAH4870 1GB Intel Core2Duo E8500 3.0 2 GB Ram Asus PQ5 Pro motherboard. Could be something to do with an ATI card and a Dual core? I made a thread in the tech section and another guy with a dual core and an ATI had the same problem like us. GingerlyPocus™
This was an issue with San Andreas on dual-core processors, however I'd be surprised if IV was having the same issue in 2008. Just in case, try setting GTAIV.exe's affinity in Task Manager to just Core 0 (un-check Core 1) and see if it returns to normal speed. It will require a patch for a permanent fix if this is the case. Byku
Devilru... damn... we've got totally the same spec ^^(maybe exept 1GB of Vram). Did You also have such a problem, that after installing drivers of the motherboard in system manager under "other devices" (propably ;p, i have polish Windows) there were two unidentified HD Audio, and after instaling Realtek drivers, one of them went to "controllers of audio, video and games" as Realtek HD Audio, and the other one still is under "other devices"? http://img230.imagevenue.com/img.php?image...f_122_205lo.JPG I tried to install drivers again but It didnt help.
