DarekRuman
Hey! Problem 1 (annoying): Any of you guys have problems with graphics settings that not save? I must set resolution and all the sliders everytime i run a game because game doesnt save this settings. Anyone know where is file or where in registry gta4 holds those settings? I've tried to run gta4.exe with -width and -height param but it doesnt work ... Its very annoying to set those setting all the time after game starts. Problem 2 : I cannot connect to social club via this little gta4 app. I've only connected twice from the beggining of playing game. Login and password are correct (i've login succesfull everytime by internet browser) Problem 3 : I've 9800GTX+ and 24" LCD monitor with 1920x1200 pix native res - all games work in this resolution but i cannot set it in GTA4. When I move resolution slider to 1920x1200 it set back to 1600x1200 (which is not my lcd native resolution and not my lcd aspect ratio - so i need to set 1600x900 to play the game not streached). Problem 4 (solved) : Transparent textures, transparent models etc - upgraded to newest nvidia official drivers (upgraded from 180.42 beta to 180.48) Any help from you guys? Greetings from Poland I will send this message to rockstar too.

brinskyX
Problem #1: I have the same problem and sadly it's linked to problem #2, which i also have. When I first started the game, I was able to join the social club and I could change the display settings. I had to down some settings, which required to restart the game. After I did that, I was unable to join the social club and the game exited with an exception. On the web it says that the specific error I was getting is linked to the game being unable to connect to social club. So I started the game in offline mode. The settings where reset, and there's no way to change them. That's why I'm linking problem #1 to problem #2, although it makes absolutely whatsoever no sense. Problem #3: My native res is 1920x1200 and that works fine. But I did run across your problem. At the very bottom of the page you'll find the used-to-available graphics resources ratio. Once you exceed that, any of the above settings directly linked to the amount of GR will lock down. So if you set all the display settings to their minimum, turn on the native resolution and then gradually wind up the rest, you'll be able to play in that resolution. Hope that helps. The game looks fun and I've been waiting for it since they announced it for the consoles. I know that engine itself is a very complex model, but that doesn't make it right to screw up the game experience by adding something that should be as trivial as a "web club". Anyway, I think we're just a little eager to get our part of the fun. We pay, we get a Taj Mahal behind closed gates. I sincerely wish the patch will be released in a few days, which probably won't be the case.

Craigybabes
Delete the rockstar folder from My Documents. No. That folder is for Benchmark results, User MP3's and the Video editor doobry. You need to remove the settings.cfg: see this post - Save Settings Solution
