Fallback
Hi folks, so I bought GTA today and it works quite ok on my machine. Anyway, I changed the graphic settings to a lower quality but every time I restart the game the old (higher) settings are back. Anyone else having this problem? Is there some sort of config file where I can change the quality? Thx in advance, Fallback For whom is interested, my machine: AMD Athlon X2 5000+ BE (@ 3 GHz) ATi Radeon HD 3870 2 GB RAM Windows XP Professional SP3 1680 x 1050 (60 Hz) Medium High 25 37 20-25 fps in the game
GTAMonkey2012
When you change a setting are you pressing space bar to accept them? If you dont and just move out of the settings it will default back, press space on every change anyway no matter what then it will prompt to keep settings and you press enter to accept to keep. Sorry if thats obvious and you have done this but thats all I could think of realy.
Fallback
Thx for your answer, I do press "space" .. so it's applying these settings and they stay for the whole game. But if I restart, the default settings are back. I even tried not to load a game but only to change the graphic settings, saved them, exited the game and restarted it .. didn't work. McDodge34
Got the exact same problem, didn't find any solutions, but it didn't happen before I updated the Game for Windows Live thing, maybe this is related, even too I don't know how this could be related. Joga
Exact same problem here. Every time I launch the game it resets me to 800x600 on the lowest settings. :\
fflaguna
I'm sure they'll patch this... But in the meantime, you can use -commandlinextension stuff to change the default values...
tiedie
Same, Didn't notice it at all yesterday but once I updated the GFLW the settings started to default when I restart the game
