The only people not having problems are those who aren't going to bother buying the game.

I don't have problems running the game.

CPU: Intel Quad-Core Q6600 originally 2.4Ghz, OCed to 3.2Ghz

RAM: 4Gb

Video Card: GMI GeForce GTX280 - Used in conjunction with Custom XG Forceware Drivers from Tweakforce

Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 920NW 19 inch widescreen 16:9

HDDs: 90GB For System and Work Files, 180GB for Personal Files, 180GB For Gaming and other Applications plus a CDRK 120GB External HDD for work-on-the-go and hook-ups with my DSLR

OS: Vista Ultimate

I can run the sliders all the way up, and still have 40+ FPS.

The game was like optimized by donkeys on crack cocaine.

Some PCs might have similar if not completely the same specs, and yet GTAIV might work good on one, and crap on the other, Good on both, or crap on both.

Vista Ultimate 64

Q6600 OC 3.2GHz

8GB DDR2 1066 (scaled with processor)

9800 GX2

Run in 64 bit

Runs at 1920x1200 with medium quality, full render quality, 13% draw distance, and everything else maxed.

It seems like most issues are with ATI machines and not as much for Nvidia (but they are still there). Thankfully I have an Nvidia card...hopefully it works fine for me. Im crossing my fingers. If it does have problems, then im sure a patch or fix of some kind will arrive by Christmas.

Everything runs just fine for me but the game wont let me put the texture settings past medium and it wont let me put the draw distance up to 100. Note that i have a 9800GX2 with a total of 1GB Vram. And it also looks like there is no way to enable AA, AF or Vsync even through the Nvidia control panel.

Found this in the readme:

12) COMMAND LINE PARAMETERS

-norestrictions

What it does:

Do not limit graphics settings

Ok that worked but now it just stays at at the loading screen forever

Edit: It says i need almost 2GB of memory? is it talking about Video memory or system memory. If its Video memory that is just ridiculous.
