Theres screenshots at 1024x768 on the lowest settings on the 2nd or 3rd page (can't remember).

 

I doubt the resolution goes down as far as 800x600.

How about a laptop (Dell XPS M1530):

 

GF 8600M GT 256MB DDR3(sth around 4400 3DMarks)

C2D T8300 2.4 GHZ

3GB RAM

Is there a chance to run smoothly (for enough is sth around 20-25 fps) on minimum (1280x800) ? Is it possible to turn off the shadows. The game would look better without them than with minimum shadows density.

The resolution does go down to 800x600. I posted them at 1024x768 because I thought that'd be the more likely resolution for people to use.

Its been tested and an error message comes up like error358x0245 which means you need SP3

Looks like this game wants high cpu and high Graphics card... I know what is says on the box but from what people are saying on here, it just sounds like you need both requirements CPU and graphics card to be @ the high - mid

Game looks pretty good fully maxxed out. Although it's like Oblivion. Not a PC in existence can max out GTA4 and keep smooth FPS.

 

Seems like going with the console version was a good idea.

Wow. That's a nice amount of cars on the screen at once...

That's a good, reasonable amount of cars on screen. Not so many as to be unable to get through traffic, but not so few as to become a ghost town.

 

But so far it appears that this is the only positive about this port.
