Perhaps we need an ENBSeries for GTA 4 to fix the shadows and add nice car reflections..

 

Only kidding, I'm still massively optimistic about this release. You really can't condemn a game before you've even seen it moving on your own system. I rarely get psyched about a game from screenshots - they almost never reflect the feeling and experience of the game when it's playing.

 

I personally loved this game on the PS3 and found the experience all enveloping and massively satisfying.. There is no way that is going to be lost on the 'upgrade' to PC gaming. I'm looking forward to seeing this on my 50inch plasma..

Even with settings down a certain way I can still imagine this looking great.

 

Then when mods start to come out and we play with the replay editor.. Good times ahead..

ATI f*ckup or not, this game has been a disaster so far for all of us in both looks and performance.

 

Maybe the story and gameplay are great but at the moment it's unplayable.

 

Mine still crashes and artifacts like a bitch, despite applying the fix kindly provided on page 2.

 

On Thursday I'll have a go with my new 9800 NVidia laptop but I'm not expecting much.

Dunno the exact specs, but it's highend. Somewhere around a Quad and a 9800 GX2. The game runs very smooth!

Liberty City doesn't have any families... well I haven't seen any so far. Everyone are acts like their an individual even though they may sit in the same car.

BTW, I got few questions:

1.Can you hear the music from outside of your car like on the consoles??

2.Can you turn off the engine (In consoles you had to hold the Exit button when the car is completly stopped)

And, How's the multiplayer?

Ok, I've checked with my colleague: The screens were taken at a testing event and the PC was provided by Rockstar. So we didn't get the exact specs. "High-end" was the official statement. But it had to be somewhere around a Quad and a 9800 GX2/280... According to him, the game ran perfectly...

 

I saw the game running on an older PC as well, also with a very smooth framerate...
