By the way, I see that people still can use their mods ingame. I just can't get my GTAIV to start up & play properly since the patch. Any suggestions what might work (what 'tools' might work to make them start up and play properly with modified files... I only modified textures and that's the way it will be).

I reinstalled some mods after updating GTA 4 to 1.0.3, plus im using xliveless (new version) - some textures were "lost" after 1.0.3, back to default, like Niko's head and other stuff.

I'm glad people are enjoying the game with the new patch. I've tried it briefly but since it broke most of my mods I've given GTA4 a rest for now.

 

Although it's mainly my trainer. Once my trainer stopped working I felt like I couldn't even play this game without it lol... Has anyone else started

playing less while they wait for certain mods to work again?

probably the complete wrong place to ask these questions but I just have to ask after seeing these amazing screenshots.

 

1. How the hell did you (thales) get such a wide screenshot in "times square". That looks amazing.

 

2. I cant seem to figure out how to "record a clip" and then go back and play it so I can capture some cool screenshots out of it.

 

Is there I button I need to press to record or something? when I go into Video Editor through my cell phone I see no videos there.

I need to join all this screenshot maddness in here.

By pressing F2 any time in the game you record (depending on your rig) a certain ammount of 'time' that you have played (mostly 1 minute or longer of what you played before you pressed F2.).

 

So, The moment you pressed F2 - 1 minute is what you will record.

 

But 'clip capture' should be ON when you want to do this. Just engage in a firefight with the cops (if you haven't done this already), make sure you die and the game will give that hint (pressing F2 for ...).

 

Thales100, you should check out GTADedan's 'beta jackets'. It seems that you like the casual jacket(s) that come from the Russian shop/that Niko wears when he arrives in Liberty City so much... the ones GTADedan made look much better and have more details .

Im playing the story again with 1.0.3, but all mods i used before are back (new skins, new weapon and cars textures). Im also waiting for the InGame trainer by awwu, its a must to take screenshots.

Thanks, using the video editor, record a scene (F2), then in GTA 4 video editor capture two "continuous" screenshots at the same position with FRAPS (take the first, then move the camera from left to right on "free mode" and take the second), then finally "glue" them with any image editor.

Damn! Wish my Niko looked that good! Not about to hack (copy/paste-install) into my sh*t...looks awesome though. Wish they would have allowed mods from the get...meh. Like released a SDK or something.
