Grand Theft Auto IV Screenshots

First time playing IV on my PC, @ 768 RAM, 1.6 CPU and 256 VRAM, lol!

btw: Sorry, I f*cked up the resolution on the 2nd screenshot.

Thanks for making me very VERY jealous. I can barely run the game on low settings now after the patch (for some reason). Still have to try one of the new NVDIA drivers though, but I have some bad experiences installing/updating drivers (most of the times it screws up my systems so I can't really play any games).

 

Damnit, I have a quadcore 2.3 gighz, 4 gigs of ram and a 9600GT (which should suffice for GTAIV... it even exceeds the recommended requirements)... and still after the paatch I have to turn everything down/put textures on medium (the only thing on medium) with 50 draw & detail distance.

 

Are they even fixing this game? I mean come on... you can't compare the two but crysis runs even better than this game!

The best thing for GTA 4 is a clean install of your operating system. Thats when you will get best results with gta 4

This is by far your best screenshot in awhile. Desktop worthy?

 

Seems as though late evening (19:00-21:00) and nighttime make for the best looking environments. Everything is so crisp; buildings, reflections, lights, etc. The bright of day brings out the jagged edges and scratchy shadows which everyone is stuck with.

It's a real shame that even the best rigs are forced to run this game without AA and lackluster post-processing. Hopefully one day the community will be able to address this... injustice.

Thanks man, i have many of yours too here, great shots. Yes i agree late evening and night create the best env, and the lack of AA is very noticeable indeed.
