So i saw this advert for a pickup in my neighbourhood. Thought i'd go check it out. Had to stop at [email protected] first.

How did you get the shadows to look like that? Without the flickering/smudged out look?

He has enough memory for his settings.

I dont get the flickering shadows because shadow detail is off. Its a killer for my card. I love how it looks with shadow setting high but i prefer smooth gameplay .

This is my settings:

 

Texture: High

Render: Highest

Draw Distance: 30

Detail Distance: 30

Traffic: 100

Shadows: 0

 

and my commandline.txt :

-availablevidmem 1.3

-norestrictions

-noprecache

-nomemrestrict

 

 

I still had to put in the '-norestrictions' so that i could push up the draw dist. a little more. Anything above 1.3 vid mem and it starts to stutter after a while.

As it is now, i do not get any building or texture pop in or texture fade in anymore and the game stays around 30 in dense areas.

Wait. WTF, according to my German knowledge, that TheGTAPlace screen seems to have Water Quality Meter and Reflection Meter.
