ADropInTheOcean Posted May 8, 2021 Share Posted May 8, 2021 It feels weird that I really didn't like the dark and sometimes kind of monochromatic atmosphere as a kid, but replaying through the game now, it's actually one of my favorite aspects of it? I have unfortunately enounctered this stupid bug in the mission before last, where I have accidently clipped into the interior, so it never loaded for that portion of the mission, I had to guess my way out, shooting everywhere to take out the invisible enemies, this was a shot from that part of the mission. Driving down long, dark roads at night, steam spewing from sidewalk vents, and a distant car back-firing whilst listening to The Journey. Anyway, all fan-boy jokes aside, here is a screen capture from one of my favorite GTA 4 missions with Vlad's usual derogation of Niko and Roman ('Clean Getaway').@Vice City criminal Nice screenshots, although in my opinion the original GTA 4 (on console and PC) looked too pastel-colored and yellow. Still, I particularly like your fourth screenshot - Rockstar definitely knew how to make dark, grey scenes look good if you know what I mean. They really captured the gloomy atmosphere of Niko's situation, and the world back in 2008. Reacting to @Wayne Kerr's thread about GTA 4's diverse parks, here is an old screenshot of mine from Meadows Park. I think that the lighting was unremarkable at the time (e.g., sky looked bland, no interesting clouds or other features), but I appreciate the statue. When I eventually get the chance to return to GTA 4, I'll revisit Meadows Park to get a more interesting screenshot.
