jpm1, dude, all your screenshots are boring, plain and ugly, you should stop right away. The only ones I liked were from TLAD. Sure, it`s just my opinion, but everytime I visit this topic, I expect something new, but it`s the same thing over and over and over again.

I've been inspired to making a sort of early 90's type New York with all of the wonderful car mods availible.

 

You know, trying to recreate the New York most of us grew up watching on TV.

 

I'm aiming to that too, with a just 1980s style. I've spent a lot of time searching that era footage, in part to make a realistic traffic configuration (difficult so far, due to the mods disponible) and because I love the old NYC I don't have all the slots with car mods, like I used to have in GTA IV (now I'm with EFLC) in order to keep a good performance without having to downgrade graphics. Some of the following screenshots feature some of the liveries I've created

This is something I was making before, I've called it "the junkyard". the game started lagging, so I couldn't take better screenshots

 

 

 

 

yeah, I'm using cop cars as taxis, but these are the only ones where I can make realistic NYC taxi liveries...

 

 

 

Oh, and glad to see there's more people around here interested in old school cars

@ RR : that Nova is too heavy sized (for me) . if you want iconic 80s cars here are few :

@jpm1: Nova? I guess you mean the Volare. I'm trying to balance the mods that have a heavier size adding more low poly vehicles. Anyway, I like the cars to be detailed, like Bigfoot's models.

 

I have some of these cars installed, however some are too uncommon, I'm aiming to have a similar traffic to the one of this video (1987):

 

 

 

 

 

thinking about changing all the license plates that have the newer desing; it's a lot of work, though...

That looks fantastic RoadRunner. Pretty much what I'm aiming at but somewhat older. Where did you find that Caprice wagon?

 

I also see that we've looked at the same videos for inspiration.

Glad you liked them The Caprice is just a beta of a model that probably will never be released. Anyway, Bigfoot is working in a Caprice Wagon more accurate (plus Impala and Caprice Sedan versions). I don't think it will take too long until is released

i recently reworked my traffic to create a Miami realistic one . and i didn't pay much attention to the cars sizes i installed . there were a bit too much over 4.5 Mo cars and the sanction was immediate after one hour playing the textures bug appeared . i removed lot of them and put lower sized cars , and immediatly i saw the improvement . GTA is a simulation and like any real life simulation the most frustrating thing it's when non-real things happen like fps going brutally down or textures bug . it is your pack you do what you want then

what car is it in background (wagon) . what did you do with your taxi , you installed a taxi on a police car
